Which date are you using for that figure?

Nintendo made the announcement on December 13. They didn't say what day the Switch hit the figure, but likely is for the week ending December 9.

Well, considering it's sold through, not shipped as usual, doesn't it take longer to crunch those numbers than just 4 days?

Though in the end it won't matter much, as we will get the shipment numbers end of this month and the difference is probably just in the 10k's at worst

Well the 70.6m PS4 figure was announced December 7th and that was for sales up to December 3rd. So that was 4 days.

One more week and this will be in the pocket.

Can we have an update?

Is it just me or is the chart completely messed up?

Where's all the pretty numbers and graphs????? :'(

Green had to change up everything because they made big adjustments to the Switch... Now he has to start over :'(

Well it took 4 days to reveal the sales as of December 31st only in the US. So there is no way the WW numbers announced on December 12th were from that date and most likely the week before. And we also don't know since it might have surpassed it by 300k but still decided to keep the 10 million mark.

We should just wait for actual numbers (and not stretch mark) and a date.

The most interesting thing will be how the Switch's December will hold up compared to the 3DS. Sold something like 4.3 million in that month and the first two weeks in January were pretty strong as well. From what I can see according to VGZ the first week is 600k, which is not off to a competitive start.

So, it happened according to the main: Switch > PS4 total sales in week 41
