ROTK didn't though. Other JRPG's close to Disgaea 5 didn't so much either. So far Switch doesn't have that type of audience. But we already know PS4 has that type of audience. I really want Switch to have that type of audience so more and more of those games get made for Switch and PS4, and are more profitable.

I guess you mean they didn't sell well, 'cause you seems to be asnwering to it instead of me saying Disgaea didn't well in Japan, otherwise you mean they didn't underperform there thus did well xP
Anyway, I really want NIS to get the kind of sales their games deserve, gladly we in the west are getting more and more into them, but Japan is just shruging it off, damn Japan, what happened to you...

NIS is known for publishing crappy games together with their own great games. They also do it very frequently. I'm sure the Japanese are still into SRPGS, this game released with the Switch at launch and it doesn't have that much of a fan base in Japan.
So NIS' reputation, plus launch day of a new console, plus overall lack of interest in the franchise itself.
I really hope that Disgaea 5 will sell even better than this 110k. Having NISA on board could prove very beneficial, as they could provide content for a couple of niches.
