MK8 has only 38 reviews, meta could still go down. A bit of jumping the gun in here. Also, the Switch is just getting started, lets wait until the year ends and come back. Also, top 5? Come on, is always top 10.

I think majority of cross generation titles are actually started off on the weaker console and than brought up. Persona 5 I think is basically FPS and Resolution increase, which demonstrates to me it was designed as ps3 game in mind. 

Both were past system focused.
P5 started as a PS3 project, was even announced as a PS3 exclusive, exactly like Zelda.
I'm about the same, I consider both this games last gen, though both Zelda and P5 are clearly Switch and PS4 pushers, not their last gen counterparts.

Then I guess my list is incorrect and P5 should be off the list.  I thought it was like Black Ops 3 situation.  Thanks for clarifying :)

I've always openly disliked Mario Kart, so it shouldn't come as a surprise.

Ya it is the one thing I don't get about wright, he likes Final Fantasy 8, but hates Mario Kart, I mean come on.

New battle mode and all the DLC from the orginal ... might be worth 5 points, I seem to remember the DLC being decent.

I think most important games are released for the Christmas season as the time likely to sell most copies, its only really because the Switch had a March launch that its titles are quickly at the top of the 2017 list. Saying that I think Zelda will remain at top or close to it for the rest of 2017 but unsure about Mario Kart and other Switch titles. Nintendo are predicting something like 7 million Switch's sold for 2017 but the PS4 userbase is probably going to be 60 million plus by the end of the year and I expect to see ps4 titles doing very well overall in 2017.

Because your games don't count because I don't want them to count!!

The downplay here is real.

Still though, a great start to the Switches library, shame it's one of the first Nintendo Machines since the GC to not feature backwards compatibility (either home console or handheld) but still they're making up for it with a good launch lineup.
