The chip exits, it's a Tegra X2 (Parker). If you put it inside a Switch it would run the same games 5-6+ hours on the same battery I believe.

Really? So why doesn't Nintendo use it? Too expensive?

The Jetson TX2 developer kit is $599

While the module itself is priced at $399

So expensive is an understatement, especially if you add in Joy Cons, Dock, Screen, Speakers, etc. No one would of bought a Switch at that price.

Maybe a Switch 2 will feature an X2 or even X3 when the price is lower.

Funny I've never used docked yet, except for the first time I got it when it gets you to do that in set up, but I basically haven't played any games docked yet.

I tried it for a bit, but the right analog stick really is a problem for me. Im sure I would get used to it over time, but I would prefer both analog sticks to be above the buttons.

Oh get over it. I will sacrifice battery life for better visuals/screenquality and a cheaper price. It is increasingly easy to find power out in places (I went to Hawaii from Missouri and played my Switch without dying once because there were outlets at the airport, on the seats on the plane [Yey Alaska Airlines!!!], and if worse case scenario came, which it never did, my brother in law had like 3 portable chargers we could plug into, but it never came to that). If you are out and need a charge, then go stop some place for a coffee or something and charge up. The idea that you should be able to play high powered console quality things out in the park for 12 hours without a charge is a sense of entitelement I will never understand, seeing as we've never had that ability before.

If I had a high powered gaming laptop (used to), do you think it would last long playing a powerful game with no charge? Are you kidding? lol

I think 3 hours of portable gaming is more than enough. I've never played more than that on any of my previous portable systems. I just... can't. My eyes get tired.

That being said, if this is what we get with Wii U ports that shouldn't push the hardware to its limit, I don't know what the duration will be when we get the actual "Switch" games. Xenoblade 2, Mario Odyssey, Shin Megami Tensei, No More Heroes... For how long we'll be able to play those? Two hours? Even less? Because then we would actually enter in the realm of "thats just not enough"...

Room 215 "Wish"

Eh, wish they'd tested it at 100% brightness, equally we don't know if this test was done with Wifi on or not...

3 Hours is... acceptable, it's just about how much lower it goes with higher brightness.

I think that's fine. Personally, when I do play racing games (rarely), it's in small bursts of 1-2 hours. That seems to be the average for big titles however going forward. For a game like this, 3 hours is great, but big, absorbing games like BotW is a bummer, but understandable.

So around 3 hours same like Zelda BotW.

3 hours seems like a pretty good number for a game like MK8. I can't imagine I'd play for that long anyways.

Yeah who needs more than 3 hours between finding power outlets anyway? The battery life will be bumped up to 4+ hours on the Switch Lite, Holiday 2018 though.

Well, if you want to wait for a sort of console revision, that's fine by me.
