Gran Turismo 5 Prologue continues to sell strongly down under, spending its second week at the top of the overall Australian game charts, according to data trackers GfK Australia.

The week of March 31-April 6 saw eight of the possible 10 games in the overall chart belong to a Nintendo console, with the remaining two both PlayStation 3 games (it should be noted that GT5 Prologue's sales are only software ones, which does not include the GT5 Prologue PlayStation 3 bundle). Brain Training from Dr Kawashima: How Old Is Your Brain? remains in second place, while it's successor--Brain Training from Dr Kawashima: How Old Is Your Brain?--has re-entered the overall charts at number three. Transformers: Decepticons for the Nintendo DS sits in the fifth spot. The Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games duo for the Nintendo Wii and DS have taken out both the sixth and seventh spots, respectively. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare for PlayStation 3 fell four spots to number nine. Last but not least, Sight Training: Enjoy Exercising and Relaxing Your Eyes on DS finished up the week in 10th.

Despite falling out of the overall charts, God of War: Chains of Olympus continues its reign over the PSP chart, claiming the top dog position for the second week in a row now.

GT5 remains on top of European charts

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue has retained its number one chart position in Germany and Spain, according to sales information from Media-Control GfK International. Sony's racer held off opposition from Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath and Wii Play to stay at the top for the week ending April 6.

In Germany, the Command & Conquer 3 expansion took second place, with Brain Training and the Nintendo DS edition of Mario & Sonic at the Olympics taking third and fourth places.

Wii Play and More Brain Training followed, with The Settlers: Empire of the East and the Wii edition of Mario & Sonic taking fifth to eight places respectively.

New Super Mario Bros took ninth, with Who Wants to be a Millionaire for the DS rounding off the top ten, which saw Nintendo platforms accounted for seven of those number.

In Spain it was Wii Play that failed in its challenge to unseat Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, with the PlayStation Portable edition of God of War: Chains of Olympus following in third place.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 for the PSP and Wii were fourth and fifth, while Super Mario Galaxy and Magic in Action taking sixth and seventh.

Assassin's Creed, FIFA 08 and More Brain Training completed the Spanish top ten.
