Forums - Nintendo - New ARMS Character [Minmin] shown (2 Hidden characters too)

Minmin is my favourite character so far.

I am a bit worried about content though; even if there are 2 characters yet to be revealed, that's still only 8 in total. After the Street Fighter 5 fiasco, I don't think it would be wise for Nintendo to release ARMS with a shortage of characters/modes.

This game can make up for a small roster with its various arms that can be equipped as players see fit. Said arms also look a lot more useful than, say, the weapons in the Soul Calibur series where the majority is going to get ignored due to blatant inferiority.

Game modes are looking good so far. One-on-one, free-for-all for four players, minigames.

I didn't think much of this game at first, but it keeps getting better every time something new is revealed.

Yeah, I'll admit that my initial impressions of this game were quite negative too, but now that we've seen a lot more of it, my opinion has grown far more favourable. And hopefully it does well, because it's nice to see Nintendo pursuing high profile new IPs.

Anyway , her japanese name is Myenmyen.  It hard to pronounce.

Fun fact, myen is how you would pronounce noodles in Mandarin Chinese. She is literally called noodle noodle.

Damn GameXplain works fa- oh, it actually wasn't them. :L

Plenty of time between now and launch for my predicted roster of 12 to be revealed.

Was it confirmed to be 12?

Nope no word on the total number characters, like I said 12 is just my prediction. That's not a lot but it's acceptable for a brand new game.

Im telling you guys, i called it back in jan. This game going to be huge for fighting genre both hardcore players and casual players. Nintendo found another hit in a genre, this will be remembered and played for years imo unlike Pokken! (2.5mil+ incoming)

I miss Tobal 2, it's almost 20 years old and yet there hasn't been a fighting game since with as many playable characters.

Had to google to see the list, and from the Youtube video, this comment does sum it up quite well :p

The game was still awesome though. There was a cool quest mode, and I really like the music. Even if it's really short and cheesy:

The graphics are also some of the best on the PS1.

And we all know girls called noodle are the best!

First caption poses don't seem to be the same as the photoshoped ones?
Still, what keen eye some people have!!!

Not sure how the non 1v1 play out, so that needs to be cleared out before I can look at Arms.

Thanks for the confirmation, but you could assume that; characters so far have had very descriptive names...
