Forums - Gaming - Your first time with Nintendo

To get away from the console wars, I thought it'd be neat to share stories about the first time we played a Nintendo game.

Mine was Pokemon Gold on the gameboy. I recall playing it all day as a 3/4 year old. Always nice to see how Pokemon managed to not die out.

My first console experience was Legend of Zelda on the NES. Since I was young, I didn't really enjoy it- thankfully, Super Mario World/64 were a blast to play.

Growing up with Nintendo is neat. So many great memories that don't need to become distant events in the past. It'll be hard to see the day Nintendo stops making games

Around the Network

My parents had a Game Boy lying around before I was born, so I grew up with Tetris and Super Mario Land, and I sucked at both.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

NES. First Super Mario Bros. Then Zelda. Then Duck Hunt. Man, my brother and I had an absolute blast with Duck Hunt over the years. Also a lot of fighting over who wasn't sharing the gun enough. (farm kids LOL)

That gun held "the coolest thing ever" title for years. Can't remember how old I was exactly when we got the NES but I would say around 7. Good good times.
