Eh, it's a 5 day vs 2 day sales comparison. Not very fair, i'd say. And you're only taking into account the Switch

For starters Horizon probably undertracked and it's digital sales will be much higher.

Anyway yes I'm comparing Switch vs PS4 version.  if ps4 version was on another platform it would sell more too.

All three points are reasonable but i think it's still a bit too soon to call it.

I feel sorry for Torment: Tides of Numenera on the consoles. 45. and 50. spot for launch for such a great title. Looks to me like they shouldn't have bothered with console versions and just made it for PC only.

And if Zelda wasn't on WiiU it would be selling more on Switch

No it wouldn't.

The Switch would need to sell more units to sell more Zelda.  It's supply constrained so that wouldn't work.

I'm comparing Switch Zelda to Horizon Zelda and Horizon is winning.  2.6m sold in 10 days.  It's got quite the lead already.

So you are celebrating that a game beated another one in sales only because of supply constrains, isn't that... sad?

Well considering these are only U.S. numbers and not Euope, or Japan numbers, I would say that it's definitely not a bad start.

BotW for Wii U is pretty good too, won't be as strong compared to the Switch version, but still a good boost

Works both ways.  Currently the only Switch release with mass appeal so sales will be bigger then normal from the actual buyers.  Evens it out in a weird way.

I'll tell you what I'm celebrating.  I'm celebrating Horizon beating Zelda.  I adore Horizon.  About 80% complete and 50 hours in.  I love seeing it beat Zelda,  not because it's Zelda but because Zelda was always going to do impressive numbers.  So by celebrating it beating Zelda it's like a back handed compliment to it.  Pls understand!

Dude, you must be a sad person, no, horizon isn't beating zelda.

Zelda is at 600k combined and you're separating them and saying it's only fair by comparing one platform vs one platform, since you're trying to make things fair, let's separate them by days in the market aswell.

Horizon was in the market for 4 days, zelda only 2, so split the horizon sales and it would have sold only 200k in two days...do you see how stupid you sound with your arguments? you're trying to downplay zelda to make horizon look good,, you must have cried a lot when you checked the metacritic and saw zelda beating horizon by 10 points lol.

Dude chill, don't let the fanboyism get to you. You're celebrating sales of a game that released on a 55+ million user base to a game that just released on a new console. That being said from what I see breath of the wild on switch is pretty close to those hzd numbers with less days on the market, Nintendo games always have great legs so you can rest assured BOTW will quickly outsell HZD (switch version only). Be sure to check the numbers in a week or two

Think for yourself, question authority

That reminds me, I need to get the new season of the Walking Dead Tell Tale game.

Great start for Horizon. So glad the audience has embraced this game.
