RE4 is truly a masterpiece, and there's not denying that the Wii version is superior because of the control scheme alone. I'm curious, have you tried other mainline RE games and how do you feel about them? I thought Revelations and recently RE7 were pretty good experiences.

Resident Evil 4 Wii edition. A perfect 10.

Thank you for doing RE4! :)

Hmm. I adore Resident Evil 4 on GCN. I never tried the Wii version but it sounds like an improvement on an already spectacular title. I'll have to give it a try.

Great reviews, as always!

I did buy it again on Wii when it came out and Rol is right that the Wiimote controls make things a little too easy. It's really noticeable in the shooting gallery bonus sections where I blazed through them without breaking a sweat. I remember some of them being frustrating on GC.

Signature goes here!

terrible f zero gx review :S it does not hold your hand like in x so i think its safe to say you simply suck at it. or you are simply used to the floaty f zero x controls and thats where the hate comes from.. every track in gx is an endurance race and challenge for the hardcore f zero fan..one wrong move and your done. longer tracks shorter boosts make gx more strategic in my book. you have to know the tracks by heart and learn when and where to use it. obviously you dont know how to float in mid air so thats simply something you have to learn..

story mode is unfair for a reason..you have to outsmart your opponent, its not just about going fast, or else story mode would feel like any other cup.

So you enjoyed Oceanhorn. This title will be my next purchase, so I hope I enjoy it too.

6/10 is a shitty game though, how dare you? XD.

Agree with you for the most part on the F-Zero X, F-Zero GX comparison. X is an all time favorite, GX was a disappointment.

I was on the fence about Ever Oasis and while your review is great, it basically leaves me on the fence. There are positives but since I'm not the biggest fan of the genre, maybe I'll wait until a My Nintendo discount to take the plunge.

Yes, I know. Every time I say something about a game sucks, the usual rebuttal is that I suck at the game.

You make some weird excuses for the game's shortcomings. Every track in GX is definitely not an endurance race because there are many that come in with course times of below 1'30".

i dont care what others say .. you suck at it becuause its a hard game and for some very hard to get into...it takes months of practice.

i said nothing weird.. to say AI in story mode is unfair and give the game less points is weird.. why didnt they do the same in GP mode ? like i said for a reason..

not every track is an endurance my mistake.. but in your case strictly based on your review its true.

I beat everything on the highest difficulty and unlocked everything in less than three weeks when the game came out in 2003. It definitely doesn't take months of practice. If I consider a game to have unfair difficulty, then that's going to hold true for 99% of the other gamers out there, so it makes sense to dock points from the review score. Losing because of something that isn't your own fault isn't fun and the score represents how entertaining a game is. Unfair difficulty and/or lacking control are frustrating and people feel cheated when that happens.

You said story mode had to be made unfair, otherwise it would feel like any other cup. But other than chapter 7, all remaining chapters have unique conditions and objectives. Story mode is unfair either because the developers were incompetent or because they were assholes. Either way, it's not designed in an acceptable way. Make no mistake though, a good story mode wouldn't have made GX better than a 6/10, because GP mode is the real meat of the game and its course design has too many problems. For those it doesn't matter which difficulty you play on, because they are always present.

My review states that many tracks are too long which is defined as lap times of around one minute. Lightning Road and Green Plant in the AX cup are even longer, so they are obviously included in this complaint.

yes it takes months of practice.. you have to be an insane person to beat story mode on your first run every time you play it, and GP mode on highest difficulty is no joke either.

i dont care about the score.. you could have given it a good 7/10 and it would change nothing about what i think of your review. i did not say it had to be unfair but why it is unfair..and that is your biggest flaw here, not accepting a challenge. its testing your skills left and right, its something every gamer should be proud of completing and every gamer try, but your review will surely make that impossible for some..

short tracks are over in a heartbeat so longer tracks make for a well balanced GP mode. long or short, tracks have variety in them, and very rarely do they feel the same..by justing saying that they are too long makes no sense, but its your biased review and i except that.
