I would say PS4, since 3Ds has the portability and PS4 the graphics power, while Switch will be between both... It may be close, but the bigger PS4 installbase May make the difference.

Just had a look for release date info and I found an article saying they were aiming to release it by 27th May in order to release it within the 30th anniversary year. Can't really see that happening now though. Honestly, with it being SE and them likely already missing their targeted release period I really wouldn't be surprised if it was delayed in to next year now. |
I expect it to be their big Holyday 2017 release. They will move staff around if they need to, but IIRC they have nothing else planned for this holyday.
OT : Given both last installments sold 3.6 and 4.35 millions while being exclusives, and that DQX is a huge success is Asia despite MMOs not being that big anymore, I'll go for
- Switch : 330k if Nintendo can manufacture and sell a million Switch by then.
- PS4 : 1m
- 3DS : 3.2m

Switch! Fingers-crossed. Strong sales for third party games will be key to long term support.

I have a feeling Switch due to it's form factor.

If FF15 can do over a million on PS4, then Dragon Quest will certainly outdo that. There will have to be some bad news or poor fan feedback for the PS4 version to not do better than that.

Well FF15 is practically a PS4 exclusive in Japan, while Dragon Quest XI is not. Although I do think many Japanese gamers will double-dip, depending on what the Switch version turns out to be. There are a lot of unknown variables involved here.

People who want to play both handeld and on TV have the switch version, and the 3DS version will be the most successful by far. Considering FFXV did this well on PS4 because it was exclusive, and that 4.25m is pretty optimistic, I still consider it to be a realistic prediction.
Especially when you consider 20% attach rate is a whole lot, even for DQ in japan. FFXV probably managed it because of the lack of huge japanese titles on PS4.

As the 3DS-version will take away a lot of the gamers who want to play on the go, I think the PS4-version will sell more than the Switch-vrersion. Although I expect both to be not too far away from each other and both dwarfed by the 3DS-version.
PS4, though it will probably be close because Japan loves their portables.

We still don't even know the Switch version will be the same version as PS4 and if it'll even launch day 1 with the other versions. I don't know if your total will be that high, but I think PS4 will have a larger percentage than that.
