Nice numbers. Did the WiiU sell a million during its first week?

You know it deserves the GOTY.

It did around 800k or so from what I remember.

Wait what? Wasn't it already confirmed that the Switch sold 330k in Japan? And does this also mean that the Switch sold less than 360k in Europe? Which is disappointing because i was hoping for something along the lines of 400k for Europe after hearing about the great success in France and Spain.
So that means the Switch sold less than 120k in the rest of Europe outside the Uk, France and Spain? That's ... low (?) Especially considering that Germany is among the >120k.

It sold about 2000 in Greece, for example (and some clarify that it is actually the best launch for Nintendo in over 12 years). Wouldn't be surprised if other countries are closer to that number, than the high tens. Outside of Germany, Netherlands, Spain, UK, and maybe Belgium there is not much purchasing power really from consumers. Nor is Nintendo really all that 'hot' in Europe.

It's doing well in Germany, though, following Amazon, and that's a decent market.

Bet with PeH:

I win if Arms sells over 700 000 units worldwide by the end of 2017.

Bet with WagnerPaiva:

I win if Emmanuel Macron wins the french presidential election May 7th 2017.

Nice to hear that in Greece(my country) Switch manages to come close to 2k. Local retailers gave us a number of 1000, which according to them still remains one of the best lunch number for a nintendo console nationally.

I think this is about what everyone expected.I should point out, however, that this is Superdata we are talking about, so I wont put my full trust in it.

But assuming this is true, probably Nintendo managed to increase the sipment for March?I dont think they are holding back only 500k for the rest of the month.Either they already had more Switchs made and sotred somewhere, or they ramped up production and will be able to deliver more by the end of the month.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

I know right, Germany is Nintendo's second biggest market in Europe this is why I expect great sales from  Germany but the fact that Nintendo remained silent about the numbers in Germany is concerning. It probably did less than the UK which is considered a weak spot for Nintendo.

I think the Switch has the potential to be the biggest selling console since the DS or Wii in Europe. Mostly because it is has the correct form factor for the current market. The TV top console is in a steady decline. I predict the PS5 will be similar to the Switch, except 3-5X more powerful.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Also is the biggest Nintendo launch in Russia, according to Nintendo Russia. )

The Switch is breaking Nintendo Records!

Great Numbers! and Great Attach rate for Zelda!

Pocky Lover Boy!
