Forums - Nintendo - Long awaited CrowbCat' Switch exposing video.

Consoles are gonna crap out, it is what it is. But, the thing that's got me concerned is all the Joy-con drama. That's the first thing that needs to go back to the drawing board.

I would normally just chalk up most of these to normal failure rates in mass produced electronics.  However, this time I'm not so sure.  Not with the cheap docks that seem to not be made to a standard mold and/or imperfections in the molding process.  The cheap locking mechanisms for the Joycons.  And, more importantly, Nintendo saying that your screen having dead pixels is normal for LCD screens.  That last one pisses me off actually.  If Nintendo fans put up with Nintendo telling consumers they're on their own when it comes to dead pixels, they deserve Nintendo going 3rd party, or worse.

Yea i'm the same, most of these issues are just failures that most devices suffer but the ones you pointed out are a bit frightening. I know my mate had the same issue with wrong strap being locked on his joycon and from what he told me it's wide spread but the dock quality is terrible and the fact it can scratch your screen (pretty severly as well from the pics i've seen) is outrageous.

Yep.  And I have to say, I have never heard of a company saying, "Oh, your console arrived with a messed up screen.  Well, fuck you, good sir."

That dead pixels response cracks me up. It reminds me of this interview:

People seem to have selective or short memories.

Didn't expect to see a farfromsubtle video in there. When I was watching that live I just knew that they would get those straps stuck, and sure enough they did. That was one hell of a livestream =P

Yes, you have posted this in the last thread as well, but the issue is that the Switch seems to have several different type of problems on a somewhat larger scale than what the Xone or PS4 had. People can be upset, especially after the perception that Nintendo allways produced reliable and solid hardware every gen thus far.

Nobody is blowing it out of proportion, but people might wait a couple of months before buying just to be on the safe side.

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

Long Awaited "CrowbCat"

I have one question - who? who is this CrowbCat? Long awaited by who? 5 people on VGChartz?

People need to stop glorifying some randomson youtube who 90% of the world doesn't know or care about.

There's a difference between a normal amount of skepticism and caution and fearmongering. I don't think anyone has an issue with being cautious, I'm just trying to prevent the thread from getting ahead of itself.

It happens with every console launch, guys. As far as I'm concerned, Nintendo consoles usually have the lowest fail-ratio, so I give them the benefit of the doubt unless I'm proving wrong.
