Forums - Nintendo - How perfect is that Switch Pro Controller?

Feels solid with a good weight to it. buttons are big, tall and clicky. I love the transparent section (any transparent edition consoles rock!). The NFC sensor is handy. The lack of analogue triggers is disappointing; headphone port doesn't bother me. Luckily they were on sale for AUD$85 instead of the RRP of AUD$100, so the price was on par.

People talk about price ignoring how much they spend on batteries for XBO. As far as I'm concerned, switch controller is far cheaper. My switch had been on all morning. Still full bars.

It's worth it.

It's $15 cheaper than the Xbox One controller with the play and charge kit. Which is a good bit more expensive, but you also get one with the Xbox One.

Plus, the Xbox One controller being expensive doesn't excuse the Pro controller from being expensive. Especially since the Pro controller is a little bare bones compared to the other current gen controllers.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

The impossibility to use headphone and lack of analog triggers keep it from being as good as thé compétition for me

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

SPro was also 10€ cheaper in the Netherlands, so I bought it as well.

It's not. It is $10 more. And that is $10 more if you align controller launches.

It is also doesn't have a headphone port. Which is more of a problem since the switch also doesn't have bluetooth.

I'm sorry, what? The Switch has to support Bluetooth headphones...How else are you supposed to use headphones when it's docked?

You aren't. It doesn't have Bluetooth.

So your best bet is getting a really, really headphone extnesion cord. Assuming the headphone port still works when docked. Just be lucky the headphone port is on the stop, and not on the bottom if it was on the bottom you wouldn't even get to use that when docked.

Christ Nintendo...I don't know why I still have any expectations for them. I just keep letting myself down.

It works when docked but it's not a solution. Bluetooth support should be patched in via a firmware update.

They are the same price here. So for me no biggie. Even $10 more no biggie for HD rumble.

I have to say that the standard joy-con grip controller has been a very pleasant surprise for me but maybe in a few years I'll get the pro controller :).

The Pro make the grip look like a joke.
A really bad joke.

The Grip is not bad, but in comparison...
