I wonder how it will do.

I hope it's great but after Prometheus I don't have a lot of faith. The last good Alien movie was three decades ago :(

What was wrong with Prometheus?

I've been making my way through the Alien series recently. Two movies to go: Alien Resurrection and Prometheus. This new one looks really interesting, thankfully.

For me, a lot. Thinly-sketched characters, plot holes and unresolved plot threads, leaden pacing, a surprising lack of suspense, and an incoherent narrative. Some nice photography, art direction, and special effects, but not enough of the stuff that counts.

Prometheus left lot of unanswered questions, and from the looks of things we can't be expecting any from this movie...

there is so much at play here I doubt Scott can pull it off.

Unless the running time is 2h30 or similar, how can you tie everything up without ending up like the 1st movie, ie failed promises, thin characters, unanswered questions etc.

I'm hoping for a more Aliens (part 2) movie where there's tons of action to go along with the suspense. But I dont think this movie is like that.

....bring back James Cameron (even though he's done with this/too busy with Avatar series)

I just hope they still make the movie a thriller movie, not an action movie
