Good to hear, though I'm still a bit skeptic until they actually reveal what these games are

"Soon"

The best they probably can get are nintendo handheld titles (AA, layton, etc)

Why would they admit how terrible it actually is?

Id love to see capcom working on Ace attorney and Monster Hunter

Interesting...but if so what's holding those 3rd parties back from doing so? The only thing I can think of is to announce them at E3 and other conventions.

Well, announcements are part of the advertisement campaigns. Announcing them at certain points in time can be beneficial.

Waiting for Ubi and SE to drop the big bombs, other than them I don't think we will see anything mindblowing outside of games funded by Nintendo ( aka Bayonetta 3)

You don't expect anything from Capcom, Sega/Atlus and Level 5? I certaily expect Monter Hunter, Yokai Watch, Professor Layton, Etrian Odyssey and Ace Attorney.

Yeah, that's a really good point, I would say the Switch presentation would have been a good chance, but as someone else pointed out it was very Japan-oriented

I hope he is referring to western AAA games and not random indie games. Still have my hopes up for Watch Dogs 2.

He explicitly mentions Indies. I highly doubt western AAA and as far as I'm concerned it isn't important. For me japanese games are more important, and the Switch seems to have good connections to japanese devs.

Also, if too many games are announced in one event, the customer can be oversatiated and remembers only a few well. Having different events with different announcements give each title more spotlight.

Ahh, I would assume that's what the Directs will be for, combined with E3. I guess an April Direct showcasing a bit more of some of the announced games would do nicely, and leave the announcements of the big new games for E3.
