Also, big difference between communists, who think capitalism is generally evil, and what you call the left in usa/europe (capitalism is a good tool to create wealth, which the government can then attempt to use for the best interest of the people.)

This is called socialism, its basically a capi/comi mix.People in Europe realized that capitalism ruins society in the long term.

Socialism has a bad connotation in the US, for some reason. They think it equivalent to communism, or a budding stage of it quite often. It's bullshit, ofcourse. That's why I described the idea instead.

I do not understand german, so it is hard for me to seek independent german reports, But as my friends tell, It is scalating. In Sweden and France they are causing fires, raping all women that do not use the veil thing and causing chaos. My Europe friends basically are saying "never saw it like this, ever".

Paris is building a wall around the Tower, this looks to me like a fear thing, it is happening but the MSM is covering up.

As someone that has a german passport, goes there several times a year, has family all over the country and switzerland, and freinds in France and the UK, I can tell you that it's sensationalism. The quality of life remains good, and the greatest threat on the road by far is still the bad driver (even if there are less than in the US, for example.)

People seem to forget that Germany sees 7000-8000 cases of rape each year since a long time, a number oerfectly jormal for the population size. If refugees rape 200-300 people in a year, they are not making the country significantly more dangerous.

I live in germany since 30 years and it has never been safer. People are basically complaining about an irrational feeling of danger. Statistics clearly show that the rate of murder and rape has never been lower. More people are dying from alcohol in one month than there are murders, victims of terrorist attacks and rape combined in a whole year. But sadly many people simply don't care about facts anymore.

It's why I have become a bit hesitant on tge idea of freedom of press. The ideal is that people have access to all information and build them r opinion in a rational manner. But people register emotions and images for individual cases much stronger than a rationally much more valuable number. I personally think banning media from showing crime coukd be healthy for society. Instead, publish monthly and yearly lists - in this period, 600 000 people died from cancer, 30 000 people die in car crashes, 15 000 people from personal homicide, 200 people from terrorism etc... ( those numbers are fairly accurate fir the US in a year, by the way.)

Allow facts to circulate, but impose the objective format of a spredsheet.

Depends on the country. Here in Australia we pretty readily got rid of our firearms and we haven't looked back since. We had dozens of gun massacres in the decades before the ban, and in the decades since, we haven't had a single one.
But like I said, every country is different. In a country with much more crime, like Brazil or the United States, the situation obviously must be handled differently, and if a gun ban is the name of the game then there may be other issues that need to be fixed first so that a gun ban is even viable. We were lucky here in Australia, crime wasn't and isn't that bad, and many of didn't really have a use for firearms.

Being an Australian too, I can vouch for this. Gun violence is very uncommon there. By contrast here in Canada, where I live now, there has been gun crime close by to me in the small town I live in, more than once. I think a large part of this is the culture of each country on a case-by-case basis. Australia just happens to not struggle with this, so much.

I guess guns alone are whats controlling the population's behavior.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

Wolf, the Brazil´s Purge is a REAL thing. Not fake news. You are basically saying we can not talk about REAL things because they harm the LEFT. That is almost evil.

well, normal people, that have never be on crime, started stealing from stores too. with no police lots of normal people became robbers.
if they had guns, how do we know they wouldnt use it to threat and robbing people, knowing there is no police on streets?
ok, more people could protect themselves, but more people would also be threating the peace...

In fact, here you can have a gun, but you can only keep it in your home.

I dont know a answear right now. But I think people in Brasil doesnt have the minimum education and condictions for having guns. I would solve the education problem first. And familiar plaining. Poor education and no planned families are ruining Brasil. Solve them and guns or no guns would be no problem.

Have you tried Jonathan? It is a hard process. You have to go to a Federal Police station, present tons of documents, wait, receive a permit to buy, and then, go to a retailer.

It takes from 2 to 9 months to get it, depending on where do you live. I have seeying friends in the courthouse give up on the process because it was a pain.

I am angry and do not know the answer either: if the state give in and give the police a raise, all other states will strike, cause all police in Brazil makes low income. If they do not give in, the chaos will go on.
