I know things are really bad in Brazil. I'm not calling him out for "fake news", it's his opinion". But reducing the many societal problems Brazil faces to "you don't have guns so you can't protect yourself" is doing a disservice to the victims of violence in Brazil.

Do you think many of these would back down if more Brazilians had guns? That sort of logic never worked. I'm not against self defense, but an untrained person with a gun is also a huge risk to himself and his family. Going out on limp to attack "the left" for this percieved injustice is a disgrace and I'm putting him in his place. This thread is immature and irrespectful and it should be removed.

Just have the military (and any other government figure) execute anyone found with a gun. Anyone who wishes to live will live as an unpaid labor worker without food or water until they die.

Actually, many leftists support guns rights, because of two reasons:

1. A revolution is pretty much impossible without them

2. Many minorities that are targeted, such as blacks, homosexuals, transsexuals, Muslims etc. need a way to defend themselves from hate crimes.

The military is overwhelmed really StarOcean. There is not enough if all the states strike. We are, pardon my language, FUCKED.

Correlation and causation. Know the difference. Especially if the correlation only holds true for your specific example. There are plenty of countries that went to shit under rught and left control.

Generalizing based on one example is immature. Blobbing together half the planet into "the left", a) pretending all hold the same political ideals and can't build a personal opinion on individual questions and b) assuming frimbtge start that their intention is bad, even if unclear or unlikely, is very immature.
