Wow! That was FAST!
Pocky Lover Boy!

I think the 1 year ports are referring to Skyrim type games where there is a lot more code to optimize for the machine. Smaller games and Indies as long as they use supported third party engines such as Unity and Unreal should do it faster.

Seeing the gameplay for the Switch version lets us realize how easier it is compared to Wii U. Really glad to see them have a playable version up and running in only a week. Assuming they'd need two weeks to have it completely done, i can see bigger games being ported quickly as well (although not as quickly) |
...You think they started this port a week ago? It's obviously going to take way longer than that to finish porting the game. "Running" just means that the game moves and has graphics.
A week to "move it" is really fast, I imagine they needed more time to make it look and perform nice enough though, is a pretty nice looking game.

Well this changes things. Carry on, nothing to see here! It'd be news if it took longer than a week to get it running on Switch.

No it doesn't change things much, they said that to highlight how quick it was, the most important part of the game only took a week.
That's good. Like I said on the thread about Miyamoto's comment about porting PC games to the Switch, it'll likely depend on the game on the time it'll take to port.

I'm kind of getting the idea that you're not very familiar with game development because as far as I know, getting things to 'roughly' work is still a huge distance from a finished product.
