Forums - Gaming Discussion - So the Switch is a $129.99 handheld?

Nintendo created a modular system, but forces us to buy every goddamn parts.

Why not make a pack for the TV/table only? With the tablet, pro controller and (no joycons)

Why not make cheap joycons without any motion controls and IR?

Why not make a handheld version of the pack with only the tablet and the cheap joycons.?

Why force everybody to buy everything and try to sell the Switch at that price? The Switch is now the most expensive system out there.

Because that's a whole concept of the Switch platform. Technically, the only thing you need to play games on this system is tablet, two joycons and usb-c cable (plus some USB power source) ... and that's how 90% of Switch users will use this thing.

EDIT: Yes, it is one of the most expensive (at the moment PS4Pro is the most expensive one), but at the same time it's sold with most accesories, it's the latest system (don't forget XB1/PS4 lunch prices) and most importent, it is portable.

Accesory prices:

Dock: $89.99
2 Joycons: $79.99

Leaves $130 for the main unit.

What do u think about this, should the Joycons have just been regular cheap controllers?

You can't really think like that because Nintendo always overpricing their accessories.
