330€ is not a rumor. It's being sold at that price.

Has it been confirmed? I thought it is just the price stores use because there isn't an official price yet. I checked in on a toy store's site and they say that it's just a price they are using now and that it may change.

I bought it for that price on Amazon. Media Markt and Saturn, the biggest electronic retailers here, sell it for the same.

Germany has around the same VAT as the other big Euro countries, so they will be the same.

I still can't believe the $400 price tag for Canada. -_-

299.99 USD = 392.08 CAD

Pretty much anything ranging from
299 to 399 will see $100 boost to price in terms of CAD

Infact the PSVR is the biggest jump being 549.99 for something that retails for 399.99 USD.

Wikipedia says there is 10% tax in Japan, so it would still be only €270 with tax included.

Oh well, I'm probably wrong again. I know nothing about economics :/

Japanese tax is currently 8%, although scheduled to increase. And the 39k price is excluding tax. Although even so it still works out cheaper, so suck it Americans/Europeans!

well they're quite a bit behind schedule.
I remember when they increased it in 2014. That was a desaster economically speaking.

That's bullshit. It's like we're getting the short end of the stick just because.

How old you out of curiousity? Because this isn't the worse, the ps2 generation was much worse for pricing. 59.99 meant 89.99 in that era.

I added this to the other post, but to give you an example:  PSVR is the biggest jump being 549.99 for something that retails for 399.99 USD.

Probably has something to do with exchange rates and taxes?Im guessing, obviosly

Well it's still $100 more expensive than it should be everywhere. How much does it cost to manufacture each Switch console anyway? It's not like it costs $250 to make.

We probably wont know until it is released, and with a digital foundry analysis for example, but its probably closer to the retail price  than we guess.Assuming the launch sales are good, the price could go down simply due to increased order number that Nintendo could make.

£279.99 is the UK. Pass on that one.

Well to be fair, didn't pre-orders on Amazon sell out?

Yeah, and I guess others places are having hard time to keep up.Its a good sign really.

Everyone complaining about the price and Australia is just down here like "$470 local price, $350 + shipping if I import from Japan... sounds about right."
Seriously though making Japan the cheapest market was smart, they know where handhelds sell and this console will only be successful if it can sell to the handheld audience.

That's price is a straight conversion as $300 is £250, add VAT and it comes to 279, UK is actually paying the exact same price Americans are when they pay with tax.
