Japanese tax is currently 8%, although scheduled to increase. And the 39k price is excluding tax. Although even so it still works out cheaper, so suck it Americans/Europeans!

well they're quite a bit behind schedule.
I remember when they increased it in 2014. That was a desaster economically speaking.
