0 at launch, and a few for the whole year.  That's hardly a large amount.

Actually 3 at launch so far (still a weak launch), and about 50 third party games (yes I included indies) have been announced so far. It hasn't gotten much western support (yet? If it does) though it has gotten lots of japenese support. You can't write that off to fit your narrative.

Please list them, as I see 0

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

It will die fast. There is alright meager support for the system, and Nintendo gamers aren't known for buying 3rd party software. The switch will be another place to put a few Nintendo games on it, and just about it.

Most of the 3rd party support we have seen so far is small-medium sized Japanese, indie & kid/family titles. These types of games actually have a history of doing well on Nintendo platforms.

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

I know that, as a result of it being portable, it actually will do somewhat well with respect to Japanese releases. It just so happens that these games are what I care about, so I can rest easy.

Marvelous already announced a Bokujo Monogatari game for it, after all. And, when it does succeed, a Rune Factory shouldn't be far behind.

I WON A BET AGAINST AZUREN! WOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Hell it would be cool if they had a semi pre-order system like kickstarter, where people could put down like 1-5 bucks each and if the VC game reaches its target, everyone would pay the difference they owe and get the game when it launches.

Yes, something like that would be cool.  But, I'm not sure why it would need to be reserved for VC games.  Why not do straight Kickstarter style campaigns for any games that the devs are on the fence about making?  It works for companies that nobody has ever heard of.  Why not big names developers?

Only thing I can see is that people don't like giving big companies more money than they think they deserve. It's like "hey so-and-so why don't you make all these games that sell like shit so that I can be happy". It's a great way to gauge interest in a title though and know exactly a locked in amount of sales. I also think that companies with legacy games/consoles should have a special ordering system where you could custom order old consoles/games to be special made and sold to you, some people would pay tons of money if they could get an official repro system/game from companies like Nintendo and Sega.

Don't know if you care for Wikipedia, but it's a great way to find a concrete list.

I am a bit interested about this too, but I assume 500K depending on the game?

Less for Japanese devs most likely, which is why there are more announced games from them

They are mostly japanese games which i don't care much for and they don't really have a definitive date for some. Others what are they? indy games? i don't play indy. I Buy retail only, so to me they may as well be non existent.

I'll reclarify my point.

When I walk into a retail store and see about 10 new releases on PS4 and a wall of games that come out in 2017, wtf will I see on the Switch wall?

I'm talking about its launch...

Third party sales on Switch will be terrible if the game is not exclusively for Switch.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

While there are things I really like about the system, yeah I don't see a lot of third party stuff doing well.

Dragon Quest (in Japan), Minecraft will sell, but stuff like Skyrim, FIFA, NBA, I think are unfortunately gonna do the same thing Wii U ports did, which is go bomba.

Nintendo's gonna have to support this mainly on their own with 4-5 big Japanese IP and some smaller nichey Japanese games + indie titles.

Japanese third parties will be in good shape. Indies will do fine by their own standards as they have on most devices. Big time Western developers...

All I have to say is Skyrim not being available in the launch window will hurt its sales, FIFA if a subpar port like the Wii and GC got will also do badly. But if Nintendo can secure a few well timed ports, timed exclusives and the system's online service has better features then they have currently announced they could get some decent sales for certain western third party titles.
