When you lose 2 straight, and then come back to talk about previous victories and spin them in a positive fashion, it is damage control.  It would be like if Ronda Rousey were to go on a speaking tour to discuss being the most dominant woman in the UFC after her two losses simply because she had won before those.

Also, keep in mind that Microsoft is the company who has the head (Spencer) who said a couple years back that the only months that matter are Sept-Dec.  So they lost half of the time that they care about, and then pull in times they don't to try to make themselves look better.

If it were flipped and Sony were saying the same things it would still be damage control.  Xbox can't regain its main territory and is trying like hell to put a positive spin on anything they can.  Were it my company I would do the same thing.  And I would expect people to call me out on it as well.

Outside of Kingdom Hearts, which is another HD remaster, the public in general has no idea what any of those games are. I doubt Johnny and Suzy in Alden, Iowa are saying, 'Oh finally I've been waiting for Yakuza!'

Most of those games don't appeal to the general populace and won't be system sellers.

At the end of the day, ps4 won the best months of the year even if xb1 beat ps4 at the second half. ps4 definitely has the momentum to win most month at the first half of the year. ps4 ended up stronger than the xb1 at the end of the year.

why are MS talking about the half year anyway, the months they won are all pre-season
