250 usd / 250€ sounds about the right starting price considering this is a 3ds+.
They could even milk a bit further the earlier adopters at a 300$ level.

When I bought my Sega Saturn in 1996, I payed (at equivalent value today) about 485$. Times have changed indeed :).
$199 seem a bit on the cheap side - I'd love for it to be true! But my money is still on $249 - question is if that's with or without a game bundled...
I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!
Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.
$250 is an ok price. Not great, not terrible. We'll see if Nintendo can make it work.
$250 for a home console that can be taken on the go that can play a more seamless experience of BotW? That's not bad. As someone said here, a console (like any piece of tech like phones/handhelds/TV/etc.) is a long term investment. Sure $200 would be nice but if Nintendo thinks it can profit off $250, then that's where they'll go for the time being. Again, Nintendo wants to profit. You could sell a console at $200 and possibly barely break even or not earn the potential profits you'd hope for.
$250 is honestly a good price. It really isn't all that expensive and allows for for Nintendo to make an easy pricecut in case sales slow down a year later.
| Captain_Yuri said: I like the $250 price but it is above what I'd call the impluse buy category which is 150-200. Still, hopefully it will come with a free game like they usually do. 110% gonna order 2 |
dude the 3DS still sells for almost 200$, and lately has been sold out at a ton of stores (Dec and January). Anyone claiming that 250$ is not reasonable for the Switch is just being silly. even if it were just a new handheld Nintendo system it would sell, especially with the hybrid concept.
it will sell.
