If it makes you feel good then you shouldn't worry if it's actually there or not.
It's like magic. It springs eternal as long as you believe.

OP: if you have to have so many "ifs" in your question, you know why the Nintendo hate seems thick. The Switch has a lot to overcome to say the least, and there's nothing to look forward to for now other than the Switch.

I mean, Wii U got hate, but I don't remember 3DS having that much. It was a good console that delievered the games.
How much of that hatred is real, though?
I imagine much of it is just people bustin' balls.People are seeing the same behavior from Nintendo mainly fans from back when the Wii U was revealed, I mean some Nintendo fans are treating the Switch like it's the fucking coming of Nintengod. I think some guys are just trying to take advantage of the moment and have some fun with it.
The folks complaining that there is too much Nintendo hate should at least be glad we didn't get a Chris Tucker meme this time, cuz oh boy people would be having a field day with that thing.

Nintendo doesn't give about their fans but gives them free online and releases always finished games instead of patching them afterwards. What else are you still missing? Yes, I miss Metroid, too. What else? |
In the sense that when their fans ask for something, it's almost like they go out their way to do the opposite.
Splatoon may be the only time they did something asked by their fans and even then, reggie said "see, we were right, fan reaction was bad when we revealed Splatoon, but it sold very well, people were wrong", I wanted to slap him so fucking bad.

| Ljink96 said: No. The people that are unhappy with Nintendo are gamers who want Nintendo to do another vanilla 8th gen console. 8GB of ram, 1.5+ TF, etc. and Switch won't be that device. So it won't necessarily be able to run games like Red Dead 2 or ME:A, They want Nintendo to "get with the times" which I agree with to a point with their account service and voice chat, but they want Nintendo to go the full mile and make a console disguised as a PS4 Pro and that's simply not what Nintendo is interested in doing. Haters gonna hate, simple as that. Even if Nintendo blows it out of the water on the 12th, people will still find ways to spin it negatively. |
The SNES was as "vanilla" as vanilla could get and it's their best console. If done right, Nintendo could dominate by doing it again.
Having said that, I am fine with the blue ocean. But the argument is there.
