Forums - Microsoft - Will the Scorpio own the PS4Pro in EVERY hardware category?

I'm afraid so and suspect whether it'll keep up on worldwide sales.

Keep up with PS4? It won't, and everyone knows it. Unless they do some batshit insane pricing model, it will be a niche hardcore product and sales will reflect that, like the Pro.

Difference for me personally is the Scorpio represents a much larger upgrade, plus I game on Xbox more so naturally I'll be way more interested in that one than the one I barely use.

Yeah, Scorpio will the go-to Bro titles (CoD, BF, Titanfall, NBA 2K, etc...) and console exclusives now that its not only the most powerful box but i can use my favorite controller.

Although tbh, i'm choosing most of those titles on XBO S now anyways even though i have a Pro.

FM7, Crackdown , Battlefront 2, Red Dead Redemption 2, State of Decay 2, Prey... next fall with all the graphux with the Elite controller in hand, chilling on the couch...will be glorious.

How do we differentiate from a generation leap if Scorpio represents a larger upgrade? Imho and however bitter it seems, the console has failed to click like its competition and MS clearly is struggling on the idea of whether a mid gen upgrade or full would be their last bet for the One to take some of that lead by from its competition.  PS4 has dominated this generation already although sales for the One has not been that lagging. Thanks to fisher priced UHD blu ray player. Do we need to bank on a video game console or movie player? These are the things to be kept in mind as the whole thing is a vicious cycle which will get completed should Sony announce PS5 around the corner.

I agree, they are not in a good way with the Xbone, but Papa Phil has been working pretty hard to erase the stigma the brand was in thanks to the previous regime, he's been succeeding thus far, but its too late for this gen really.

I'm fine with doing away with hardware generations. I upgrade phones and cycle through televisions every three years or so, no reason why I can't do that with my consoles imho.

CGI-Quality, I was explaining my usage, i really don't make those choices based on what the majority of people do. Not that any of those titles are less proportionally as popular on one ecosystem vs the other.

I play on all the systems for reasons specific to me.

That's fair, but I replied to:

The most powerful console won't change the status quo for what the go-to system will be, is what I was saying.

You are arguing against a claim i never made though. I wasn't making an argument for 'the status quo' in a statement that ends with "... its not only the most powerful box but i can use my favorite controller. "

You just misread and jumped the gun. Its all good.

I think it's more an issue of how your comment is presented (the lack of initial preferring, separated into parts, etc). I also read it how i image CGI did, that of a general statement/belief followed by a personal expression that extends from that belief. I assume there was meant to be some prefacing between "will" and "the"? It certainly reads like a chunk is missing.

Nah, it doesn't work like that. The majority of the fans for those franchises have a PS4 and that will be the system that continues to sell multiplats in higher numbers. Had the Scorpio been a next gen machine, I'd likely agree.

Instead, this is nearly a repeat of the Xbox vs PS2 situation. The latter system's versions of multiplats were the bigger sellers.

I think it may very well help multiplats sell a little bit better on Xbox. Of course not as good as on PS4, as there is double the ps4's but I think it could help it's attach ratio at the least. You brought up ps2 vs Xbox. I believe Xbox had quite a bit higher attach ratio. Do to the console being more powerful perhaps?

Halo MCC will sell 5+ million copies(including digital)

halo 5 will sell 10 million copies(including digital)

x1 will pass ps4 in USA, and UK.

So what's the launch lineup? Halo 4 Remastered, Halo 5 Remastered, Forza 7, Gears of War Remastered, Madden, and Call of Duty collection? With $350 CEs with no game disc too of course.

They even had Rare and the one franchise they choose to keep, to the surprise of noone, was the one with sweaty men beating each other up and the obligatory bouncing boob female.

How does Tales of , Star Ocean, Ni No Kuni, The Last of Us, etc run on Scorpio?
