I never said that it wouldn't run better. What I said how do you figure that it would. There is no proof that you can provide to say that 1st party games from PS3 would run better on 360. Virtually no proof at all.

I already gave you the reason why multiplats performed bettter on 360 than PS3. They were developed on the 360, and then ported to PS3.

Halo 4 was a beautiful game. It's subjective to say it looked better than most 1st party games on PS3. Although I agree to a degree. What about most 1st party games on PS3? I don't want to start naming games and it turns into a list war. I'm not interested in that. Also we're off topic and I don't wanna be warned. So yes the point is still valid.

Forza 4 looked marginally better in some aspects than GT5. Still, I do agree about Forza 4 looking better.

Well isnt that proof? Both Racing sims, both 1st party games pushing there systems to the limits and you agree in saying FM4 looks better.

Give or take both systems are very similar however Xbox can be pushed more with being alot more balanced and easier to develope for and had less bottlenecks.

Like i said before making a system with power with less bottlenecks is a challenge in itself. PS3 was all grunt no control. 360 had both. Cell had overheating problems hence why it was delayed when used to its fullest by devs. (Think of it as a Car with more Traction vs a Car with more Horsepower, which will run the track better? Of course the Car with more Traction) This is why i say the 360 was a more powerful system, because it was more powerful all round.

Ryse was the best looking game for 2 years on release when launched on XB1, that doesnt mean XB1 was more powerful than PS4, thats under the dev and what they wanted to achieve. Sony games always tend to push visuals while Xbox tend to be the other way around, abit like Nintendo who dont focus on visuals yet can make beauitful looking games when they want to eg. Metriod Prime (GC).

Hahaha.I've seen a lot of bs posted on this site but this tops it.Did you not see me say it was hard to program for.Let me break it down.

1.Developers were lazy to even try to give the PS3 proper ports, instead gave  half as ports(beacause it wasn't market leader)

2.So why didn't MS first party games looked better than they PS3 counterparts, since they were the ones who took them to their full potential.

3.Later on in the gen when games started to use the PS3 as the lead platform they looked better than the 360.

So there's them facts for ya.

Lazy is an excuse. I already stated above comparing 2 similar games both 1st party games and both pushing there hardware to the limits.

Go do some comparing yourself. End of day is many games run better on 360 hardware and even 1st party games in there respected genres favored this.

eg. Forza 4 vs GT5

I wont be commenting anymore on this thread so good luck in trying to convince yourself. I am not turning this thread into a fanwar.

Really Forza and GT5?OK I will bite.1000 cars to what,400?Day night cycle, dynamic weather and more cars on track at a time, while still looking damn good. And you think Forza 4 looks good because of hardware?Haha. On to Halo 4 both KillZone 2 and 3 looks better so yeah there's that.Another exclusive please.

A thread speculating Scorpio specs has caused this much insecurity and downplaying posts? Damn, this place is going to be fun to watch when it finally releases.

Of course Scorpio will be more powerful than the Pro. Will be the most powerful console on market and the best place for 4K console gaming!

Yep insecurity is real

Owww you should be here on the 6 months prior to release of PS4/X1 up to 2 or 3 months later. Those were the times.

Wow there are a ton of those Arcade Archive games. Over 60.

But I think you're missing the huge effect some games in this list of over 1,400 PS4 games has on sales. I mean, where would PS4 stand without "Call of Duty Endowment"? Would we have even seen a PS4Pro if not for "Battleborn Open Beta"? What about the "World War Toons" beta? I like "Zombie Campaign DLC", which is listed as its own game but is actually DLC for a different game. You don't think "Uno Trial" added to some of the PS4 sales? Well, I doubt you could say that about "Headset Companion" with a straight face.

Also, if this PS4 list includes these PS2/3 classics you can rebuy for PS4, surely we should include the hundreds of BC games you can buy on the Xbox store that aren't on this list of games? Surely that gets us closer to this 95% number, people.

Surely we should include PSNow, which includes 450+ games specifically from PS3 in such a scenario. Although, I don't think we should count that OR bc as they are literally just games from last gen not specifically enhanced or republished this time around. For simplicity Remasters/remakes/reboots should be counted however.

lol @ simplicity. Or maybe we could just stick to the thread about hardware and leave these irrelevant lists to the many many other threads dedicated to them?

Indie PC + X1  digital only games.

Though that should be listed as "console exclusive".

Most of the games are digital only games, not listed on PS4.

Scorpio releases near the end of 2017.

So it has 2 years ontop, as the most powerfull console (2018/2019) until Playstation 5 releases.

I fully agree though, this place will be fun to watch, when it releases.

I imagine it ll launch at 499$ and sales will be pretty slow for it, and Xbox fans will question why its not outselling the PS4, now that its the most powerfull. Price & Games are so much more important than power.

Hey guys,

MS is pretty open about their Scorpio Console already and they want to make sure that it will be the most powerful console ever created.

Do you think there will be a hardware aspect in which the Scorpio won't significantly outperform the PS4 Pro?

GPU
The Scorpio GPU will be about 50% more powerful than the one in the PS4Pro.
6 TF vs 4.12 TF.

CPU
The PS4 Pro uses the same chip the regular PS4 has - only with a higher clock speed.
The Xbox One CPU is faster than the PS4 counterpart.
There are rumors regarding AMD Zen / Rysen chipset for the Scorpio. If this is correct, the Scorpio will be much more powerful in this department as well.

RAM
The PS4 Pro received a minor update here. 8 GB of GDDR5 RAM (just like the PS4) plus 1 GB DDR3. 218 GB/s memory bandwith.
The Xbox Scorpio is rumored to have 12 GB of DDR5 RAM. Confirmed is at least a 320 GB/s memory bandwith.

BluRay-Drive
The PS4 Pro BluRay does not support 4k.
The Xbox Scorpio will have a UHD BluRay-Drive and support 4k movies.

What do you think about the Scorpio specs in comparison to the PS4 Pro?
Do you see a bottleneck for the Scorpio?

GPU: The problem is that's not a specification. That's just a number used to give an idea of how powerful something is.

CPU: Except those are all rumors, not actually confirmed specs.

RAM: Again, you're not discussing facts, you're discussing rumors and hearsay.

Bluray Drive: While I don't doubt it, has this been confirmed yet? Or is it more rumors?

Yeah, basically the 900p vs 1080p threads will be swapped to 1800p vs 2160p.

The people in those threads will both change there tunes, some Xbox fans that used to say "Resolution doesn't matter" will now say the opposite, and some PlayStation fans will also change there tune.

Lovely.

The thing is, it didn't really matter. The resolution comparisons where born out of XB1 owners denying there was any significant difference between the power of the PS4 and the XB1. The more that went on the more people reminded them of the difference in resolutions to prove that power difference. It was an indication of the power gap, not really a resolution thing, but of course stupid Sony fanboys (probably pre-pubescent or your typical Crapgamer type audience) started using the resolution alone as a whipping stick.

There were people claiming XOne multiplat games would be "unplayable", that 720p would be the norm, third party support would drop and the power gap would incrise even more, and my favorite was that the WiiU would sell more than the terrible Xbox One.

It was a realy funny time to be here and on NeoGaf. And only because MS wanted to go digital too early and giving Kinect a second chance. So the PS4 became the Redeemer, the one that would save us gamers from the evil Microsoft Empire.

It was back than when I get the reputation of "being so one sided". Well, here we are, basically nothing of those appocaliptic predictions became true.

Of course, all that hate gave the PS4 a wealth advantage that would never go away.

Now Microsoft is trying hard to fix their "sins" and give the game community a beast of a machine. Exclusives can go any where. They were never the reason for the PS4 advantage in the West.

I also don´t think price would be a problem. The PS4 Pro has a very good price point, and was a no show this hollyday season. I´m waiting for Sony´s Financial Report to make a better case, but it seems, so far, that sales have been underwelming.
