Forums - Microsoft - It is 2017, the year of PROJECT SCORPIO, are you ready for the beast!?

I hope they show us something soon from Project Scorpio.

As long as it it not more than $500 I plan to get one.

In a way I understand why they should sound excited etc but until next gen it shoukd aim for year of the X1 (and year of the ps4).

I am certainly interested to see how this year goes gamewise. Though I have the oddest feeling Scorpio won't be the final name, a la NX

The Democratic Nintendo fan....is that a paradox? I'm fond of one of the more conservative companies in the industry, but I vote Liberally and view myself that way 90% of the time?

In a way, I feel sorry for M$. They can address every issue people have and they'll still come up short.

-No power brick? It was never a big deal.
-Console looks like a VCR? We never cared.
-Controller uses batteries? So what.
-Best version of multiplats? It's not exclusive so it doesn't matter.
-Good exclusives? I'll just play them on my TV.
-Most powerful? Frame rates and resolution don't matter anymore. I don't even notice them.
-Focus on gaming? I can't forgive them for E3 2013.

There's literally nothing M$ can do to win because the fact of the matter is people just like other brands more. They'll let emotions stand in the way of a good/better experience. Things only matter and are blown out of proportion when M$ doesn't do it as well as the competition.

It's their job to sell the public on this console but I don't think it can be done.

This is my post of the thread and contender for post of the month. So much truth jam packed into 3 sentences. So powerful. So true.

Just before the Scorpio launches Sony announces the 10 terraflop PS5 to be launched in 18 months time and then a large percentage of potential Scorpio buyers wait for that instead.

I'll probably buy a Scorpio but not at release pricing I'll wait for a really good deal assuming there are enough exclusive games to justify its purchase.

I just can't wait to find out if "Scorpio" is really what they're calling it. Because I still don't quite believe it;D

This is very true. Microsoft could litterally do everything and get shitted on because it's Microsoft. Microsoft has given us Quantum Break, Recore, Forza Horizon 3, Gears 4, Killer Instinct season 3, Dead Rising 4 and more this year, but that still isn't enough for people.

I honestly believe it comes from Nostalgia regarding playstation and they're afraid of Microsoft. Or my other theory is because ever since MS joined the market, Japanese games for the most part got obliterated by Western games.

Any source to killer instinct season 4 coming out? I can't find anything about it releasing anywhere.  Not on wikipedia, or metacritic, not any googling.

It's coming out soon. Rumour has it we can fight against mortal kombat characters like sub zero.

I have bought a stack of popcorn ready to go for those inevitable downplaying threads that will pop up closer to release and just after E3. Could be a very interesting and entertaining year on VGC.

Sony doing that will kill the PS4 sales.
