I think that as the generation rolls on the base for PS4 and XBO should drop. I would be fine with games being 720p/30fps - 1080p/60fps on the base PS4/XBO, PS4 Pro & Scorpio being 1080p/30fps - 1440p/60fps, and a new Spec 3 PS4/XBO being 1440p/30fps - 4K/60fps in 2019 or 2020.
I feel like there is a wide enough range of console gamers that these diferent markets are justified. Some people are happy with their 720p or 1080p screen, and they still will be in 2020. For those people a $100 PS4/XBO without a disk drive and 512GB of on board RAM in 2020 would be the device they are looking for. For others a $250 PS4 Pro or Scorpio Slim would be perfect for there 1080p or 4K screen. The final group of early adopters, gamers, and tech enthusiasts would be happy with a $500 PS4/XBO Spec 3 that delivers full 4K and up to 60fps.
This is the way I think the market is heading. I feel Microsoft is absolutly heading in this direction, and I think even if Sony decideds to make the PS5 in 2020, the PS4 and PS4 Pro will still recieve the newest titles from Naughty Dog, Sucker Punch, Polyphony Digital, and the rest of SIEWWS for quite some time. The days of completely dropping 100M people in the transition to the next generation are over, and the the days of limited or no backwards compatability are over.
Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.
