Forums - Nintendo - [New Poll] Will you buy multiplatform games on Switch or PS4/XBO/PC?

Will you buy multiplats on Switch or PS4/XBO/PC if you own both systems?

Switch 270 37.04%

PS4/XBO/PC 331 45.40%

Won't own a Switch 109 14.95%

Won't own a PS4/XBO/PC 19 2.61%

Total:729

Depends on the game, most games I'll get on PC but the will be a fair amount of games I get on Switch and even double dip for due to the platform's portable nature.

Depends If I want the game portable. If not, probably on PC

So this is an interesting question that was brought up by a user on Neogaf, and I thought it was compelling enough to deserve its own thread. Assuming that most/all multiplats that are released on the PS4/XBO/PC are also released on the Switch, will you buy multiplatform games on Switch, so that you can play it anytime/anywhere, or on PC/PS4/XBO to display it in higher resolution/ HDR on your TV?

As for me, I think I've been pretty clear. While I value performance a lot, particularly framerate, I value convenience way more, so I plan on buying all of my multiplats on the Switch. What about you?

I will buy if the graphic is not that diffrent from PC or PS4, or if it's a switch exclusives. I think Japanese jrpg or other Japanese games that suitable played on the go i will definetly buy on switch (replacing my Vita. But mostly i will buy on PC or PS4.

This poll proves one thing : thé vocal minority is the majority on the forums

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

Playstation has been my main system for the past few gens so all multiplat goes there.

Plus, Nintendo hasn't been my top multiplat game system since it was SNES vs Genesis, Nintendo's mainly for the 1st party games.

I stopped gaming on PC, it's too isolated for my lifestyle.

I have no desire to buy a Switch - so the Xbox One is where I'll buy multiplats on.

Either Switch or PC, guess it depends on the game.

I know I'll be getting Project Sonic 2017 on Switch, but for things like shooters, I'm getting those on PC.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Double post...here are some kittens:

You have one extra kitten. A double post should mean two kittens. The extra kitten implies that your error was grater than it really was. So you are over compensating for some reason and obviously hiding something. (Typical VG Chartz over analyzed rebuttal post) OT: Switch will mostly be for Nintendo's first and second party games. Multi plats I will play on PS4 unless there is a good reason to have them portable.

Hey! They got SONY on my amiibo! Wait a minute. Two great gaming tastes that game great together!

Same here

You are not a big Anime-and Jrpg-fan, right ? What you missed on all the great JRPGs and anime games, wow. Since my anime! and gamer heart cries, honestly *-*

Topic: For me - Of course for PS4. 1. The PS4 is at 95% of the most developers lead platform. 2. PS4 is significantly stronger than the "switch", this is good&easy for the game development. 3. Next Year - maybe the PS4 Pro is lead platform for games in future (and the next xbox is coming). in future: the games are bigger and with many more details + better graphic. Thats why - i buy no multigames on "switch". Maybe end of 2018, when a switch upgrade with stronger hardware and better battery appears.

I don't think there will ever be a time when the Switch platform competes with the other two in terms of power.

I'm surprised at how well the Switch is polling considering the responses in the thread.

Really? Have you been to this forum?

I don't think skewing towards Nintendo should effect this poll. You can like Nintendo more and play multiplatform games on something else.
