I fully expect Ep 1 of FF7:R next year. It just makes since. 30th Anniversary of FF and 20th Anniversary of FF7. Looking at that, it's kinda funny how it took only 10 years to get to 7, but 20 years to make it to 15.

I do hope they do a 30th Anniversary collection, too. And while I'm guessing it will just be the normal games, just up-rezed to 1080p, I would love it if they including all the remakes, as well. Like, whatever the newest remake is, especially the 3D ones for 3 and 4, throw them in, too.

Not really. "Home" is what their shareholders and business board decides at the end of the day and "home" could be iPhone and Android for Final Fantasy pretty soon if this keeps up.

I can see the Final Fantasy 13 trilogy happening, and to be honest, I'd love to play through those games again.

Well FF1-10 & 10-2 is already on the Vita and not sure what kind of higher resolution you're expecting out of those classic games.  But I guess you'd want to play on something bigger than a 5" screen.

Modern ports of FF4, FF5 and FF6 is FF43D, FF5 Mobile/PC and FF6 mobile/PC.

Modern ports of FF1, FF2 and FF3 are the PSP/iOS ports.

 

Yeah...."Official English Translation" for FF2 and FF3 NES....this more than likely means its unlikely of happening :p

I'd be fine with PSP or DS version of FF4, but those mobile versions of FF5 and FF6 are ugly as sin. They really need to re-evaluate them.

Hmmm they look out of place but I am still gonna give the PC versions a try in the future and play/record them alongside the ps1 versions.

I have the FF5 on my phone and I just can't even play it. It's too jarring for a game that doesn't need to be so ugly.
