IW is already the biggest shooter this year in the UK Was expected really :))

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

Massive numbers for PS4. To put it into perspective, in 2014 the gap between PS4 and XBO during Black Friday week was 1K, in 2015 it was 5K, this year 50K. Even more impressive, PS4 numbers continue to climb year on year, while XBO is already starting down. I think this will set the trend for the next 6 months tell we know more about Scorpio. I just don't see any way XBOS can compete with a cheap PS4 Slim, and the power house PS4 Pro.

All that big talk from MS over the last four or so months, and their "comeback" is wiped out and then some in a couple of weeks. Sad

And r/xboxone deletes it when posted, funny stuff. They were so happy to talk about sales for a while.

Didn't you got the calendar for the year? This year the autmun/fall sales is all that counts, Winter/holidays doesn't matter.

Very respectable numbers for Xbox considering they are going up against a new hardware launch.

^ this.

Honestly Xbox sales where closer to PS4 than I thought they might be,

even if UK is supposedly one of the area's where it sells almost as well as the PS4.

I honestly don't see the relevance. Or is this going to be the new narrative? Let's not forget that the PS4pro is a $400 console that truly only appeals to people that own a 4k TV. And it also has nowhere near the deals that the slim has. Anyone that has given this thought should at least know that the PS4slim (being cheaper) will always be the best selling PS4 console. The PS4pro is just an enthusiast item.

Also, PS4pro sales in its launch week in the uk would have been indicative of whatever kinda boost it would have given to the PS4 sales. This is BF week which is almost 2 weeks since the pro released in the UK.

lastly, this is like 50% better sales compared to the XB1 and some are saying that's not impressive? This could mean that in this one month Sony makes back all the months in the UK that XB1 has won this year. And that's not impressive? Especially as you said UK is one of the places where sales between the two are very close like in NA.

Ah well, I am not surprised that the posts wouod have moved when numbers start to come out.

Should point out that X1 sold 134k last year so a big drop. Maybe they are running out of upgraders and old models to liquidate. Any way this has been expected just didn't think X1 would drop so much.

I just think its PS4 that took some sales from what could have been XB1 buys.

Sony price matched their PS4 to the XB1's and they won sales on it.

Big drop for X1 compared to 2015's BF, over 40k less.

But isnt that what always happens in console sales.... ever?

There is a finite number of people at anytime that will buy into a given type of device. Sales are sales and a win is a win. When MS were doing their Fire sales in the UK the past couple months no one said anything about cheap or price matching.

Then people were say the XB1 is a better value due to 4K Blu-ray and MS momentum bla bla bla.

It's still too early to call. But I did suggest something like this could happen. I said in one month PS4 could negate every win XB1 has had this far.

Damn, that's a massacre, and UK sales trends are mostly quite similar to US, barring FIFA and Racing games.
We should brace for a similar result as far as PS4 vs XB1 sales go here as well.

I probably shouldn't waste time qouting  someone with 0 points but is 92k to 142k really a massacre to you?
