Numbers coming out that BF was up 21% this year over 2015. If Xbox isn't up 21% or more, it was actually a loser.

Where did you hear that? Is that just for gaming or is that all Black Friday?



Halo MCC will sell 5+ million copies(including digital)

halo 5 will sell 10 million copies(including digital)

x1 will pass ps4 in USA, and UK.

I mean, the claim wasn't that they outsold the PS4 but that the demand was strong. 

Is PS4 sells 2 million this weekend and Microsoft sells 1 million, it's still a strong demand for the console. 

Also, Best Buy in particular tends to put away their systems so they have as many consoles are needed for their ads. When I went to Best Buy on Black Friday, there were plenty of both systems lying around but people were snatching them up at a pretty decent pace. 

Either way, it's safe to say the PS4, Xbox One and even the 3DS all had a decent Black Friday. 

Ah true, but this could also mean nothing. Even if it sold less than last year, I think they would still say there is a Strong demand for Xbox on Black Friday.

But just that vague statement will have people saying

-You don't run fast.

-I've never seen you run.

-You run fast, but Usain Bolt runs faster.

-You're afraid to tell us how fast you run.

 

Basically, this thread. All M$ basically said was "There was demand for Xbox". Off of that one statement with virtually no context, we have gone into speculation overdrive. Why not just wait until later when we find out how much demand there actually was-- and how fast you actually run?

The sales threads are mostly the most interesting threads, and a bit of speculation is fine as long as its done in a good manner. :D

The great thing about the Black Friday/Xmas threads is that theres always people needing to eat crow. I'm always happy to, as long as its served with a healthy dose of salt :D
