What console are you playing right now?

None. I use the PS4 to play a few games I really care about, like inFamous, Final Fantasy, Need for Speed, etc. So yeah, this year I played about 4 games on it, but I'm not gaming on anything right now. I'll probably buy FFXV in January... it will be a good appetizer while the Switch doesn't come.

I was actually thinking about the console. FFXV and RE7 are the games I'd love to play more, but portable Skyrim is also tempting and I don't want to buy two consoles too close. Hopefully those two games comes to Switch at some point and make my decision easier.

PM The Thousand Year Door

Metroid Prime 1 & 2

Resident Evil 4 was the original version and superior one

REmake

RE Zero

Zelda Ocarina of Time: Master Quest

The Wind Waker & Twilight Princess

FF Crystal Chronicles

Super Smash Bros Melee

Super Mario Sunshine

Mario Kart Double Dash

It's library is easily well above the Wii U.

- Viewtiful Joe

- F-Zero GX

- Tales of Symphonia

- Fire Emblem

- Star Wars: Rogue leader/ Star Wars: Rebel Strike

- Metal Gear: Twin Snakes

- Eternal Darkness

- Pikmin 1 & 2

I love the WiiU, you really underrate that console,  but I have to agree, GC was clearly better.

I've heard that Tales games is one of the best in the entire series.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Certainly way better than Tales of Zestiria. For the rest, I can't speak because I only played 2 of them, but I liked it quite a bit, good combat, nice artstyle, pretty charming and 60fps (for some reason the remaster goes at 30....) so yeah, nice game, specially on GC. I think I'm gonna replay it, still have it.

Wii. By far. The only Nintendo console I NEVER even thought to buy. I really don't like these motion controls, to play the games like DKC with forced motion features. Despite it has some amazing games I played and enjoyed so much (I got the console and some games from my friend) anyway I think this console is the worst. The performance comparing to 360 and PS3 was a nightmare.

Viewtiful Joe was also on PS2. I'll give you Twin Snakes, since it's a bit more than your average remake.

I'm surprised no one mentioned Baten Kaitos, though.

I really can't rank them as I like them all for the different experiences they gave me:

NES: Just crapped all over my Atari. Games looked amazing and game design really took off. It's iconic for a reason.

SNES: A powerhouse of solid games, and the home of Super Mario World,my top ranked game.

N64: The first proper multiplayer machine. 4-player titles still get pulled out today. Mario Kart. Block Fort. It's still the pinnacle of battle mode.

GameCube: A solid machine that everything (save a few big multiplayer titles). Windwaker and Melee alone make this console amazing.

Wii: Innovation out the ass. GOTG Wii Sports had me playing games with friends and family I'd never have thought possible.

Wii U: Assymettric multiplayer alone made this purchase worth it for me. My only disappointment was not having more titles use it.

It was a GC exclusive for a while, just like RE4.

Never played Baten Kaitos so I can't judge.

My favorite was the 64, and worst is the Wii. I love the graphics on the 64, as for the library, they shot themselves in the foot going with the more expensive cartridges. Going with cartridges, and proprietary disks with the GC were absolutely terrible decisions made by Nintendo.

Not that these polls are very reliable, but so far Wii and WiiU (the later being the winner) are above all the others in votes. They doubled everything else.

The N64. Super Mario 64 is my favorite Mario, but the library as a whole is lackluster. Even among its better games, I never was a big fan of Rare, and I enjoyed the GameCube Zeldas much more than the N64 Zeldas. That said, it did still bring a lot of lasting game design choices to the table.

I voted for Wii U, but upon further thought, GameCube was definitely worse. Wii U had Xenoblade Chronicles X. I can't remember anything noteworthy on GameCube except an inferior port of Resident Evil 4 with cut content and junky controls.

Nope, the GameCube port of RE4 had content cut that was available on the PS2 and Wii releases, plus the controls were junky.

The Mario Kart and 3D Mario games were the worst in the home console franchises, by far. The other games I couldn't care less about. Some of those games, like Crystal Chronicles were among the worst games I played that generation.

Since you are counting ports, a bunch of those games were also on Wii U (Metroid Prime 1-3, and every Zelda), plus a significantly better iteration of Mario Kart, and Xenoblade Chronicles X which is much more interesting than anything else on GameCube.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
