Forums - Sony - So I'm a fool. Can I get a refund?

I'm at work so my time is limited. I was browsing this site and saw that Star Wars Battlefront was $7.50 for PS+ members.  I was like "Hell yeah, let my get some if that shit!" I logged into the PlayStation App, hit purchase/download and I was feeling really good about myself.

Then, seconds later, I realized that I also saw SW Battlefront Deluxe Edition. I said to myself, "Hmmm...I wonder how much THAT costs?"

$9.99

So, for a $1.50, I could have all of the DLC, too!?! But I already purchased the other version! What can I do? I don't want to bite the bullet and pay $10 when I could pay $1.50!  I don't want to miss out on the sale, either. For a bastard who loves to waste money, I sure hate  to waste money!!

I googled this but all I can find are links to Sony sites that no longer work! Any help would be appreciated.

Don't play the game.  Don't install it.  Call Sony's customer service, and they'll refund you.. It'll take 3 days to be placed back into your account.  If you've installed the game, do not play it.  If you play it, I don't think you're getting a refund.

Being an owner of the deluxe version, I can tell you that you aren't missing out on much and like others have said, that 1.50 would be better spent on a pack of chewing gum or toilet paper.

Add another 20 cents or so and you can get a Pabst Blue Ribbon 32oz...

Hmm... I'm only interested in the VR-mission, not the main game. And it would cost me $10.50 instead of $7.50 because my PS+ is for my German account.

Probably still a better investment than buying the Martian VR experience, right? Shooting down TIE fighters sounds a lot more fun than playing with potatoes on Mars.

Do we have any indication, how long the X-Wing VR Mission will be?

the deluxe edition items are unlockable and the ones that aren't, are emotes and you have lots of them to choose and they don't add nothing to gameplay... not worth the trouble. i had that edition bundle in with my ps4 SW LE and it isn't worth even that 1 dollar.

Proudest Platinums - BF: Bad Company, Killzone 2 , Battlefield 3 and GTA4

Good to know. I'm at work. I'm sure I can call Sony but, at this point, I don't think it's worth the trouble.

Or both because the price difference between $7.50 and $9.99 is $2.49 (instead of $1.50)

If you haven't started the game then they'll probably refund it into your account. Just tell then you're trying to spend MORE money.

Just called them. While I was waiting, they gave me the email address to IM them. The associate answered the phone after about 10 minutes.

Him: Hi, my name is _____. How can I be of service?
Me: Hi. My name is *my name* There was a sale on PSN earlier today. I purchased the wrong game. I bought Star Wars Battlefront when I meant to buy Battlefront Deluxe Edition.
Him: Oh? *Hangs up*
Me: Well, damn!

So I instant messaged. I got connected to a woman named Sandra. At first she said I couldn't get the refund because I've already done this before. I asked her when and with what game? After a pause, she said "Good news! Your refund is approved!"

So I got the money back on my wallet. I'll buy the right game when I get home from work. I took screenshots of the IM conversation with my phone in case she did something shady. She was mostly cool but I'm disappointed overall with the experience. Yes, I fucked up and they were helping me but two different associates almost failed me.

Haha, so the funny part was that the first guy just hang up?! While in fact he fixed the refund right after.

Cool story.
