What we see is backlash against the fearmongering. The global warming myth was blown out of proportions, and with time more and more people saw behind the lies. Psychologically this creates a counter-reaction. An increasing amount of people are sick and tired of the fearmongering and the shaming and the playing on guilt, wether it's about global warming, the refugee crisis or the European Union.

You can't expect to shame and bully the Western citizen into taking the whole responsibility for all the world's problems and not get anything back but increased shame and bullying.

How fun do you think it's for a white guy to be blamed for all the problems of the world, constantly be called entitled, a sexist, a misogynist, a racist, a homophobe, a fascist and egoist? And yet he is supposed to pay for climate change, he is supposed to provide for the refugees, he is supposed to be the absorbing airbag when somebody from the outside is frustrated. And on top of it all he gets bullied and beaten up and becomes a minority on his home shores. Never given even one thanks. This equation just doesn't work in the long run. Eventually people will be fed up and react.

Trump is just a catalyst for this counter-reaction. And it will happen time and time again if the left keeps shaming and bullying the members who make up the backbone of our society.

"The priests lied to us about fire and brimstone and they're fucking whores while preaching abstinence? Burn down the church!"

Do you even know how global warming works? Every aspect of the greenhouse effect is fully proven. Global Warming has started already. It's not something you can believe in or not, it's a scientific fact. Why would people even lie about it? It costs tons of money. The only reason why people say that they don't believe in global warming, is because it's a good excuse to keep on polluting as much as they want. A populist like Trump does not care about the welfare of the people, he only cares about his own money and popularity.

The scale of it is not scientific fact. In fact science has kept shrinking the scale for every UN global panel on Climate change.

The scale, the impacts of global warming have been extremely exaggerated. And when the truth comes out you will experience a backlash. "Oh, the problem was this small? But why did you demand all focus on this problem then? Fuck you."

Global warming is relatively slow and not a big problem for humanity.

America was never great to begin with. He actually made America hate again, and made everyone hate America again.

And this is the truth. Wich btw was the same precursor that allowed the brexit vote. These polititions trying to take advantage of the people by giving them someone to hate.

This btw, is the basis of fascism. Its the exact same thing Hitler did. He got into office by hating/blaming on the jews/immigrants. Same thing again.

He won because of outrageous accusations like yours and CaptainExplosions'.

The left doesn't give one millimeter. It's just open the gates for foreigners, the Western man must pay for them all and then be kept being called a fascist.

Your country Nem is filled with foreigners and submissive white guys, and yet you have stomach to play the racist card and fascist card.

This kind of backlash will happen in many European countries too. The Western man rising up because he's tired of getting leeched off but always receiving the hate. So why on earth would white guys vote on the party who calls us racist and fascist? What do SJWs and Hillary have to offer us for giving them their vote? It's mindboggling this arrogance.

No, in life its either you win or you lose. Do or don't there is no try.

This, in the vast majority of the cases there can only be FPTP per state otherwise the elections would risk often falling on the house of representatives which could give them too much power ...

Or, you know, have a second voting round? That's what we have here, and it works great. If no candidate gets more than 50 % of the votes in the first round, there's a second round with only the top two candidates. There's no rule set in stone that says the house of representatives has to choose the president if the electors can't... I mean there is a rule, but you can always change it.

The worst thing is that Clinton won the popular vote. I know that if I say that the electoral system is flawed (something Trump also said in 2012, he called it a disaster for democracy) people will say I'm only saying that because Trump won, but I just don't understand why the current system is better in any way than a system where the candidate with simply the most votes across the entire country wins. Having to reach 270 of 538 electoral votes to win the elections also means that voting on 3rd party is simply throwing your vote away because everyone on Earth knows no 3rd party candidate will ever get 270 or more electoral votes.
I could somewhat understand the current system if you had a federation of multiple former sovereign state (for example a possible European Federation) to make sure that every country is represented properly, but having such a system for a single country? I just don't understand it.
The current system also means that a lot of votes are completely irrelevant and might as well have ended up in the garbage can. Looking at the results now you see that for example in D.C. Clinton won by 248.670 votes. Simply put, that means 248.669 votes in just D.C. alone were completely irrelevant to the elections. You then also have Wyoming where Trump won by 118.299 votes. Again, that means 118.298 votes might as well have been tossed in the garbage can.

Any Americans, regardless of if they're Pro-Hillary, Pro-Tump or Pro-3rd party who feel the same way?

IMO: get rid of the Electoral system so you open the way for parties other that the Republicans and Democrats and to ensure that the most popular candidate across the entire country always win. You win if you get 50%+1 of the vote, if nobody gets 50%+1 of the vote have a 2nd round where the top 2 most popular candidates from Round 1 go head-to-head.

I also saw a map today how an electoral system would work here (The Netherlands), it's absolutely pathetic. Currently 11 Dutch parties share all seats, if we switched to an electoral system it would be just 2.

All systems are flawed.  Geert wilders and his political party can win the elections but all the parties can choose not to rule the country with him would you consider that fair?

You'd have to change the constitution for that to happen and it isn't happening soon ...

Ouch. In that case, your situation is worse than I imagined. It's definitely possible, but would probably require a huge and successful campaign... Which probably isn't happening any time soon, just like you said. Sucks to be you, I guess! :P

If you are thinking of leaving the USA permanently. Consider that practically every other country in this world is a better place to live than under a Trump America. The great days of an Obama America are over and the hell on Earth of a Trump America begins in January 2017.

LOL! Can not even respond to this.

Bolded: You mean by far the worst 8 years for the country in my lifetime?

Being totally honest we have not had a "Great" president since Reagan. Bill Clinton is the best in that time period. But Hilary Clinton is NOTHING like Bill Clinton was in the 90s

Haha :D Really? Trump? What? Hahahahahahahahaha :D I swear to the holy god of earth, americans are so fucking idiots :D Hahahahaha :D
