Cool. But we are taking raw sales numbers, not bullshit number of player and whatever other garbage stats Blizzard/Ubi might throw to us for marketing purposes

Of course. Official ship ments. From the company quarter report

Perfect! Let the games begin

For other users: sorry for derailing the thread a bit

All Activision has to do is make a Modern Warfare 4 and bam. They will have the fastest selling COD to date.

Not if developed by Infinity Ward

No, you don't understand, best DICE launch EVER.

Not digitally, but DIGITAL + Retail.

I have 0 numbers? I showed you that Battlefield 3 sold over 5 million first week, and over 8 million by end of November 2011.

http://venturebeat.com/2011/11/30/battlefield-3-sales-top-8-million-copies/

This mean Battlefield 1 first week did over 5 million, and is on track for beat what Battlefield 3 sold in 2011.

I have no source for say Battlefield 3 sold over 10 million in 2011 but i mean let's be serius, was at over 8 million in November, you believe it has not sold another 2 million in the intere December?

Thats pretty cool. Im still expecting IW to do more than that I love how cocky people have become after the launch of CoD in the UK. I wonder what will happen after the Pro starts flying off the shelves and most people wil pick up a copy of IW with it. Again, we do not have concrete numbers, and there is no reason to continue this untill the numbers are in

Meh, i don't care if COD will sell better than Battlefield.

The discussion was not who is going to sell more, but if COD will outsell Battlefield by a huge margin. I remain confident it won't, and i expect both game to sell about the same this year.

If COD outsell BF by a huge margin, something like i don't know... 3/4 million more this year, then i'll be wrong.

Still the biggest shooter release this year in the UK regardless of how bad people ty to make it it look lmao and it will continue to be the biggest console game of the year along with FIFA 17.
All this pointless hare from people who aren't even playing the game is laughable 😒 People need to stop acting like it's a fail lol BF1 'must be a huge fail than because it can even get over 130k on PC lol

I doubt Activision will release official shipments numbers for Infinite Warfare, expecially if it really underperform.

We got a leaks from analysts like Patcher (who is legit for know numbers already out from company, he is just a bad predictor lol) and others about Black Ops III at 22 million sold through by end of March 2016 (retail+digital), but we have no idea what shipped by end of first quarter of the year or in 2015.

If you guys want to make a bet, i think you should bet on something that we will surely know numbers for both.

Have you guys played the game...? Not just watched a trailer or played a beta, but actually played the game?

I don't think it's fair to judge whether good sales/scores are deserved without trying it yourself.

I bought the game only to play MWR in the future. Havent even installed IW because from the Beta the MP was one of the worst imo and i mostly play COD for MP.

Ok. Lets talk number than CoD BO 3 sold 12 milion retail in the US alone. Battlefiled 3 (the best selling in the series as far as I know) did 7. We already know that BF1 opened below BF3 in the UK ( if you wish to even deduct anything from one mid-size market). Lets say that LT CoD drops 40% from BO3 (I still doubt it will and I am ready to bet on that) that would still put IW at well over 7 million, above where BF3 ended its run (tough sales indicate it will do somewhere between 4 and 3, and that would put us at 5). Even so, just in the US, just at retail it would have a ~2.5 million lead, and the game will most deffinatly end up performing better WW, especially as it became the de-facto FPS on the PS4.

Did we even included the fact that you needed a digital preorder to play MW remaster day1? No? Well, guess what, for many gamers that is a serious draw. But even in best case scenario, I simply cannot see BF1 gettin in as close as 5 million to IW. Sorry, I simply cannot see that happening. But again, we will have to play the waiting game to be absolutly certain.

If BF1 can manage that, kudos, I bow to you and especially to EA as they managed to finally get close to their arguably biggest nemesis when it comes to a rival IP.

That's great and all but i have for you a better analysis:

Black Ops III sold 22 million by end of March 2016, this including digital. We know it sold 1.85 million in USA only at retail for the first 3 months of 2016, and other 250k in UK. It's legit to expect something like 3.5 million worldwide including digital for the first quarter of 2016, so this would put Black Ops III at 18.5 million units sold in 2015.

Just drop this number by a optimist 35% (If not 40% or more), and you have something like 12 million for Infinite Warfare. If not less. Battlefield 1 did less than Battlefield 3 at retail, BUT, if you including digital sales, it sold better than EVERY other DICE games at launch. This mean Battlefield 1 launch, including digital, was bigger than Battlefront and Battlefield 3. Battlefield 3 sold 5 million first week, and was at 8 million by end of November 2011. If you add December sales,  it easy sold over 10 million the first year, and so far, Battlefield 1 is doing better than Battlefield 3.

So its safe to assume BF1 sold over 5ml?

I can honestly see it BF1 > COD because PC will make a huge difference.

Yes is basically confirmed. Battlefield 1 was the biggest DICE game at launch.

How much did BO3 do at launch?
