I bought the game only to play MWR in the future. Havent even installed IW because from the Beta the MP was one of the worst imo and i mostly play COD for MP.

That's great and all but i have for you a better analysis: Black Ops III sold 22 million by end of March 2016, this including digital. We know it sold 1.85 million in USA only at retail for the first 3 months of 2016, and other 250k in UK. It's legit to expect something like 3.5 million worldwide including digital for the first quarter of 2016, so this would put Black Ops III at 18.5 million units sold in 2015. Just drop this number by a optimist 35% (If not 40% or more), and you have something like 12 million for Infinite Warfare. If not less. Battlefield 1 did less than Battlefield 3 at retail, BUT, if you including digital sales, it sold better than EVERY other DICE games at launch. This mean Battlefield 1 launch, including digital, was bigger than Battlefront and Battlefield 3. Battlefield 3 sold 5 million first week, and was at 8 million by end of November 2011. If you add December sales, it easy sold over 10 million the first year, and so far, Battlefield 1 is doing better than Battlefield 3. |
So its safe to assume BF1 sold over 5ml?

Meh, i don't care if COD will sell better than Battlefield. The discussion was not who is going to sell more, but if COD will outsell Battlefield by a huge margin. I remain confident it won't, and i expect both game to sell about the same this year. If COD outsell BF by a huge margin, something like i don't know... 3/4 million more this year, then i'll be wrong. |
I can honestly see it BF1 > COD because PC will make a huge difference.

CoD BO 3 sold 12 milion retail in the US alone. Battlefiled 3 (the best selling in the series as far as I know) did 7. We already know that BF1 opened below BF3 in the UK ( if you wish to even deduct anything from one mid-size market). Lets say that LT CoD drops 40% from BO3 (I still doubt it will and I am ready to bet on that) that would still put IW at well over 7 million, above where BF3 ended its run (tough sales indicate it will do somewhere between 4 and 3, and that would put us at 5). Even so, just in the US, just at retail it would have a ~2.5 million lead, and the game will most deffinatly end up performing better WW, especially as it became the de-facto FPS on the PS4.
I love how cocky people have become after the launch of CoD in the UK. I wonder what will happen after the Pro starts flying off the shelves and most people wil pick up a copy of IW with it. Again, we do not have concrete numbers, and there is no reason to continue this untill the numbers are in
