They likely are looking down the barrell of a fiscal loss this year even with Switch (2 million shipped isn't good enough) since they don't have any more baseball teams (last I checked) to sell and currency situation is not in their favor right now. Nintendo being the geniuses they are will only make 100,000 of them and then act all shocked when it's sold out and have a second shipment ... in Feburary.

I don't know about just a 100,000. The new president is more a sales guy then iwata and they were doing decent ads for the mini-nes. I always assumed the mini was pushed this holiday to replace the Wii U drop. I hope i'm not wrong ;-P.
