Looks that way in Europe, however, bold statement saying the pro is less profitable. Right now in The Netherlands a 1TB slim +2 controllers is averaged at 279,- so I think with these new prices the 379,- priced pro with no games or controllers might be more profitable?
Anyway they are deffenitely their own biggest competition in Europe but I do think in the 3 countries where Xbox is concidered a thing, microsoft is doing a decent job and I do feel like the Xbox One S is outselling the PS4 Slim if you wouldn't include the pro, and that might come back to just a better job redesigning, however, the pro is also an excellent job of a new model with extra features for not much more, so its not completely fair to keep it out but the slim isn't doing as wel as many assumed I would say.
