I think it's a bit too easy to put all of the blame on the release date.

A one-argument thing is always too easy but reception was good to great from both press and customers.

But yes, quality is also not a reason why games sell...

Titanfall 2 should have been delayed until Q1. Sorry, but this is a slaughter, and CoD will kill of any chance it had at decent legs.

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

How do we have those Pal charts data? What is the source ?

Titanfall 2 flopped bigly

No surprise. What kind of company would release 2 multiplayer shooter games  at the same time ?

These are just the UK charts from GfK. To avoid this confusion it'd probably be best to just name the thread "UK charts" until other regions are added.

Though when available it might be a good idea to collect sales data from different PAL/European regions in 1 "European sales charts" thread as some of these threads receive very low activity on their own.

It'd require a bit more work but I'm sure users from the different regions would help posting the charts or links to the charts. I'll start with the link to the Scandinavian weekly top 10.

OP could look something like:

The company who wants to do anything they can to dethrone Call of Duty. Don't be surprised if during Holiday 2018 we get Titanfall 3, Battlefield WW2 and of course the new Call of Duty and another CoD remaster.

France (Source)

Yes, I am entirely doing this just to be a dick about the thread title but... France aren`t PAL

It isn't? I didn't know that

Personally, I would name the thread "European sales charts" so I guess that would fix that problem.

This bomb is the result of the first titanfall. It was hyped as the game of the gen and launched to big numbers. But people rapidly lost interest as the small player stats proved and the game was massively discounted within a year of launch which just showed how poor sales were.

And now a very poor launch for the sequel just backs that up further. Where now for respawn and EA. the former creators of cod4 have failed to strike gold twice.

The sequel seems good though so hopefully it has legs and the franchise survives.
