1) Feel bad for him.
Wii failed him, and he got a replacement without getting his games back (lost 220$ in software).
Same thing with his 3DS's (he had 3) (286$ software) + a Wii U (1000$ lost), all tied to same account, digital only user.

Hes had a very bad time, with nintendo hardware, and I can understand why he wont get a switch. His trust of Nintendo is just not there.

2) Hes wrong about advocateing that nintendo should make their systems easier to hack.
Saying thats why the vita failed? what?

dangers of going all digital. ALthough I find something suspect about this story, so basically EVERY account he has had somehow has had issues. seems suspicious . probably from trying to hack stuff he got them deleted

Somebody had to do a pun about the name.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

I've been calling it the Nintendo Bait and Switch.

Anyway... I think this guy actually did something illegal to his systems. Like they had modded firmware. That was probably why they didn't restore his stuff.

Not sure what he means by the Streetplaza 'hack', but if it is indeed a hack then that's his fault since it was in the ToS that your console could be bricked for having pirated software, etc.

1) Your NNID doesn't expire, he said that he didn't even make one so of course he doesn't have and NNID
2) You can't access internet without your NNID, like he found out, but he needs to make one first?
3) Your digital games can be played offline. How are you supposed to play Pokemon outside if you don't have internet? Online features require internet and updates so that makes sense
4) Why did I watch this even at x2 speed? It was still a waste time

I believe the biggest problem was the memory cards. They're too expensive.

That's a big problem, but really, Monster Hunter getting poached at such a critical time was probably the single biggest thing. I think that had a cascading effect on other publishers not supporting Vita with big titles.

And their launch window line-up was stupidly western-focused, too.

Oh... welcome back, sexy boy.

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Thanks, sweetie!

It's his own fault for hacking and breaking his own stuff and associated contracts.

I don't think he'll be missed as a customer. And I don't think he's being honest about the money spent either.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

OMG is this guy's voice and emphasis annoying!

  • He first says that "he doesn't give a shit"... followed by a long list of whiney complaints
  • I'm not a friend of digital content bound to hardware instead of bound to a proper account system... but this restriction of 3DS-content was never a secret
  • He's complaining that the Switch gets a proprierary cartridge slot? So which cartridged-based Nintendo home or handheld consoles had a cartridge slot that wasn't proprietary?
  • He doesn't seem to understand that ARM-SoCs can use other operation systems than Android... he probably doesn't know that his three 3DS-devices also have ARM-SoCs
  • He's complaining that the Switch could break when falling down... duh... so can any other handheld or mobile device or controller or even home consoles (if they aren't already on the ground)

I don't get his story...? Can he not connect to the internet and restore his accounts?
