Tokyo Big Sight, looks amazing

Really special from the outside, but a lot more conventional from the inside IIRC. You have several separate conference halls in it, so unfortunately for the fans I don't think we'll enjoy this kind of view during the conference. I'm not sure we'll notice any big difference with the Xbox launch for example (the photo of the Xbox One tent was showed earlier in the thread), but I could be wrong.
About the conference itself, here is what I was saying lask week:

That's it. Everyone is looking at them right now. They should already be announcing a Nintendo Direct or a conference to announce the details. But the WSJ also said that they will wait for 2017 to show games (and maybe other details?). That would be really stupid IMO to shout "Hey guys! This is the NX!" to attract everyone's attention, and then go back to silence for 3 months while people go back to buying the PS4 Pro and the One S for Christmas.

Nice for them to see a conference announced, but I still think it's a loss to push it to 2017. Giving a free pass to the PS4 and Xbox One for Christmas in order to "protect" Pokemon or the 3DS is not a good reason at all IMO. The Switch needs a lot more help for its launch than Pokemon or the 3DS (that they are supposed to abandon..), it should be the priority. The biggest marketing moments of the year are Christmas and E3. It's cool to finally give the details, but once a whole new part of the audience will be playing with their brand new PS4/PS4Pro/Xbox One, it will directly reduce the audience concerned by their announcement. On top of that, January-March is not "empty" either and has a lot of games releasing, it's not an excuse to say "they'll be completely free without anything to bother them". If all the January-March games don't announce that they will release on the Switch too, it won't be a good publicity. Monday "Guys, we have a huge third party support!". Tuesday "No, our big game releasing next week/month won't release on Switch, sorry guys". Wednesday "Our game will be PS4/XBox/PC only, NX version not planned"... Well, you get it. It could reduce the hype rapidly. Even last week, when RDR2 announced "Xbox/PS4", it was immediately a hint that the Switch wouldn't get big games, and a perfect counter-example in the "Third party support" threads.
So, a good thing to finally have a real conference for the reveal, but they can't make a mistake there. A wrong price, a console too weak, a line up a bit disappointing, or bad news between the conference and the launch could be really bad for the company.
