That's just insane. Absolutely insane.

That level of sales on an installed base as small as Nintendos is sheer proof of the loyalty of Nintendo fans. You couldnt pay people to be better fans.

Now look at them and laugh at their nonsense! |
They were basing their forecasts on the attache rate across the whole series but they should have realised that when the install base is low the attache rate is far higher because of a higher percentage of hardcore fans that buy lots of games. Surely they should have known that.

Damn right. Portable comparison bonus round! It has outsold...
- All PSP games (install base 82 million)
- All but 2 GBA games (Install base 81 million)
- All but 6 Gameboy games (Install base 118 million)
Also, the only Nintendo games ever made with a higher attach rate are the original Super Mario Bros and Wii Sports.

Which is unfair because they were pack in titles the majority of the gen. Think about that. To beat MK8's attach rate, the games had to be long running pack in games.

I agree and I've made that point before. Imagine having to sell MK on a system that has 10-20 big releases per year. It becomes a bit more challenging then as there's only so many games someone can buy in a year. |
NINTENDO
nintendo forever . . .

Considering that it's one of the worst Mario Kart games ever made that is extremely impressive!

I imagine a good chunk of that is bundles, but still an anomaly given the userbase.
