Uncharted 4 is the better of the two, but opinions may vary as they are both good games.

I don't :) there's just too much Uncharted in it and i can't get over that..why did they have to full Uncharted i just don't get it Tomb Raider should have remained it's own thing! I tried to get into new TR games so many times but i couldn't.. it honestly felt like a lame copy of UC to me every time i tried it.

Haven't watched the video, yet. I might never watch it, to be honest. I'm just hopeful that most of the people commenting will have played both and will form their own opinions. If they haven't played both, hopefully the people in this thread will keep an open mind and maybe even give both of these great games the time that they deserve without feeling that they can only love one of them. In any event, the OP just posted their opinion. I'm sure it's still a minority opinion (that I just happen to share!) and there's nothing wrong with agreeing or disagreeing.

I understand some people want to get their point of view in, so I just did mine with reasons supporting why. You don't wanna see why then that's fine, but that is not keeping an open mind.

I liked Tomb Raider much more, Lara is the best female lead in gaming.

Haven't played ROTTR but if it's anything like TR I'll probably like it more than U4. There was a lot of predictability in U4. The story at best can lead you along and make you interested to see what happens next, but considering the length of the game and the plot points, it just feels like a one and done kind of game. Did any patches add anything else to the single player part of the game?

For me U4 is the 3rd (= ish) best game in the UC series. It was good, there was nothing really disappointing about it, and the chest high foliage stealth stuff gives more scope for varying how you play through levels. But part of the whole conceit of the story pissed me off from the start so I didn't warm to the game as much as I would have liked and it felt a little like going through the motions. And ultimately, after TLOU I would say UC4 was a backwards step in many respects.

Haven't played RotTR yet, but some opinions have it as not being as good as the reboot. If that proves true for me then it's likely I will like RotTR about the same as UC4.

I'm glad UC has been put away. Without giving any spoilers I think there is scope for a fast forward 10-15 years with a certain character we meet in the epilogue of UC4, with a game in a somewhat different style (less shooty, more adventury), which could emulate a different game from the 6th gen. But still within the UC realm and with the same heart and soul and thematically following the exploits of people and events from our actual history. But first Naughty Dog should either bring us more TLOU, or hit us with another entirely new IP.

I prefer rottr alot more overall as well.
I can't wait for a new tomb raider, I would say around 2018 ( 2019 being the latest )

HOW DARE, but yeah fair enough. The collectibles and puzzles in uncharted are very weak, the puzzles have become a bit throw away in the last two uncharted. I guess they don't want players spending long periods of time just to do puzzles, I guess it disrupts the flow of the game. Still, it never really bothered me too much, I'm not crazy into puzzles but a few more brain ticklers would have been nice.

I hope to play ROTR soon once it goes on sale. The story (from the trailers) sounds fairly similar to UC, find the treasure before the bad guys or we doomz but I did enjoy the tombs in the first game so I can't wait to give those a shot but my only nitpick would be, why are you off exploring tombs and stuff when you got the world to save?
