I'm guessing that the first big revision will be the "NSi" or "New NS," released circa late 2020.
It would be largely similar in terms of general shape and size, and have at most a few exclusive games. The resolution won't be altered. But it would have improved battery life and brightness, more storage, improved non-gaming features, incrementally improved specs, and/or capacity with new forms of tech/media, like whatever the latest form of SD card is.
Love and tolerate.
NS U, it's the only logical step.
