Yeah, it looks like a device with no target audience outside of Nintendo fans.

The reactions on the net says otherwise tbh people are going mad at the prospect of Skyrim on the go and all, I'm not talking about Nintendo fans either as some people have a few issues with it but overall like what they're seeing.

Hype on reveal is quite normal, let's hope it sustain over the release and not get killed on holidays

duduspace11 "Well, since we are estimating costs, Pokemon Red/Blue did cost Nintendo about $50m to make back in 1996"

Mr Puggsly: "Hehe, I said good profit. You said big profit. Frankly, not losing money is what I meant by good. Don't get hung up on semantics"

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

I just want confirmation that stuff like Pokemon and Fire Emblem will be on the console and it really is just a combination of home console and handheld libraries.

I don't want there to be a dedicated handheld in 2018/19

Have you ever heard of Notebooks and Laptops?

What about tablets?

Most of them can play Skyrim at high setings for hours.

I actually love the whole thing. I don't have any real negative points to make about it, or at least nothing solid. I do hope that Nintendo brings a legitimate online service to it, but we'll have to wait and see on that.

Truth, I actually can't wait to see what their new miiverse, and apps, ect will look like. The share button is a good sign. Loving that, and hoping miiverse will be able to meet its full potential in an online driven world.

I'm just excited in general about this.

Yes, Nintendo fans. If you look at it rationally, other than being a fan of the Nintendo IPs, gamers have no real reason to get this over a PS4 or X1.

No gamers, rationally many people saw a cool looking home console device that gives home console experience in and out the house, given your history you would try and say only Nintendo fans though.

I don't think it'll be some huge hit with the PS4/XB1 crowds (the design is I think point in fact specifically the way it is so Nintendo does not have to compete directly with Sony or MS anymore) .... buuuuuuut I can see motivation for a PS4/X1 type gamer to buy this in some cases even if they don't like Nintendo games.

Being able to play some games like NBA2K or FIFA or Skyrim or Monster Hunter or Mortal Kombat or Calladooty on a plane/bus/subway ride is pretty cool.

And it actually looks pretty slick too, it doesn't look like a child's toy which Nintendo is sometimes guilty of, it looks like a Sony or Apple or (heh) Nvidia product. Not too shabby in that regard.

I'm getting NBA 2K for Switch for example, whereas I wouldn't buy it for Wii U because you might as well get it for PS4 in that case. But on Switch I can play it anywhere, which appeals to me.
