Yeah, umm... The "outraged moron" tone of the post was meant to be taken as sarcasm.
Obviously her eminently reasonable claims can't have been proven one way or the other, barring a reveal of the device.
Thus the absurdity of the poster I was quoting using that claim as rationale to doubt her leaks.

I mean, can somebody even try to give specific reasons why those are unlikely to occur? That isn't even a rumor, it's just obvious.

No, actually sill logic is saying that Super Mario Maker (pay close attention on title of game) is new IP only because you can make and share levels. Its 2D Mario platformer spinoff not new IP, Splatoon is good example of new IP.

hard to take anything she says seriously because its based on mostly nothing except for obvious common sense, but in terms of pure speculation........

MEGA excited at the prospet of a new mainline 3D Mario. please god be in the vain of a unique world/setting/story, like Mario Sunshine or Mario Galaxy. 3D World was just so bland. Mario games are at their best when you throw the classic mechanics and basics into a bizarre new scenery. makes it more fun

and I'm pretty sure people have speculated Retro is working on a new IP, no? so probably whatever that is

Under your logic anything with platforming is a Mario platformer which is silly, it's not a spin off it's a new series centred around creation and sharing hence why the's talk of Zelda Maker and all, sorry mate it's a new IP your logic doesn't override this.

"Anything with platforming is a Mario platformer"!? Lol, I talking about Mario 2D platform game not about any platform game. This is Mario 2D platform game where you building levels or play levels of other players. Regardles "building levels or play levels of other players", Mario Maker is still Mario 2D platform game so cant be new IP. And yes, it's far more 2D Mario spinoff than new IP. Super Mario Maker is existing IP (2D Mario platformer) with just new mechanic (building levels or play levels of other players), not new IP. Like I wrote, new IPs are games like Splatoon, Xenoblade, Code Name: S.T.E.A.M...not 2D Mario platformer "with building levels or play levels of other players".

Nintendo will make a new IP. Well no shit, especially after the success of Splatoon, they've already basically said as much.

Nintendo will have a Mario game. Well ... uh I for one am shocked at that. Let me sit down while I gather my thoughts and try to process that mind-blowing news.
