Some people lately are jumping to conclusions about NX 3rd party support roughly 3 hours after the Red Dead Redemption 2 got announced with no NX version confirmed.
And the truth is, I would think many of those same people would be just as negative if it actually were announced for the NX then or even at some future event (e.g NX reveal, E3 2017 etc). Same goes for every other AAA game that will or won't make it to the NX.
Even if RDR2 or any other AAA 3rd party game were announced for the NX, it would be met with the same kind of criticism so many Wii/WiiU 3rd party games have had for years.
"It probably won't sell well"
"It won't look/run as good as it will on PS4Pro/Scorpio"
"Bet it gets cancelled lulz"
"Who really wants this game on a Nintendo console? It doesn't belong there"
I encourage you to ignore such people. Because even if NX or any Nintendo platform were ever to have comparable or superior versions of games, the focus will always be on what a Nintendo platform does *not* have.
I swear - if the NX matched and exceeded the X1 and PS4 in every way - but lacked an obscure Japanese game PS4 had, some timed exclusive Xbox DLC had, or didn't have some ball-scratching feature on PS4 and X1 both share - people would make a big deal about it. Nintendo could nab FF15, CoD, Fifa, RDR2 running at 1080p 60 FPS - but if it lacked a new Battlefront game somebody would not shut up about how the NX is in a precarious position to repeat all the failures of every Nintendo console ever. Blah blah doom. They should just go 3rd party blah blah. Its fate has been sealed doom blah blah. Michael Pachter said blah doom blah doom doom blah.
So all told- Ignore the doom. Allow yourself to be cautiously optimistic about NX - even when it doesn't have all that PS/XBox has. Have faith Nintendo has something special with the NX worth getting excited about. Stay happy Nintendo fans :)
I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016
