Idk, can you? I'm seeing a lot of salt in your post.

Yeah... people either have nothing better to do with their sad life or would almost have to have that boring of a personality to keep hating on a game people agreed is bad XD and this point the criticism itself has gotten repetitive. It reminds me of The Order incident. I've decided to probably wait until it's in the bargain bin to get it myself but Jesus Christ people

This is one of the most objective reviews I have seen.

I saw this thread and though 'oh great more NMS bashing we know it's bad'

But damn, thanks for posting this, I don't think I'll ever pick this up now.

There's only 2 races: White and 'Political Agenda'
2 Genders: Male and 'Political Agenda'
2 Hairstyles for female characters: Long and 'Political Agenda'
2 Sexualities: Straight and 'Political Agenda'

The game is still a huge success though.

Yeah how many people are still playing? and i doubt a sequel or any game Sean Murray is involed with in the future will be a success.

Interesting perspective. Sounds really repetitive and surprisingly cumbersome and user unfriendly given that it's a game about exploration and giving players a sense of freedom.

I had added it to my wishlist; I was super hyped prior to launch because it looked like a classic sci fi novel's setting brought to life, which is quite rare for me because nowadays I'm usually extremely jaded about most games, and would've actually pre-ordered it on Steam but for the fact that the pre-order bonus sounded quite lame, so I thought 'why not wait until the reviews and community reception first, just in case'.

Bullet dodged it seems.

It's remained on my wishlist just in case they 'fix' it and it comes out of what should clearly be Early Access, but I now seriously doubt that the game is going to change in any truly fundamental ways going forwards.

Nah, I have feeling the damage is done for them to not fix it or truthfully expand it to the point it should be. Honestly for $60 dollar purchase it is huge disappointment. However I did find it relaxing, and that is pretty much the only positive I got from it. It is by far I think my most questionable purchase this generation.

Dang, I wonder if this game will ever be put to rest. Though I suppose I can understand why people keep bringing this game back into the spotlight.

You know, it's kind of funny how some people spend more time and energy on games they don't want to play than on games they like. Gamer culture is a never-ending source of amusement.

That would be weird and funny, but I'm not sure how you'd know people do that. Maybe speaking from personal experience?

Absolutely, especially from coming here.  I mean, if people want to stay sour about something they dislike, that's their little red wagon.  I think it's amusing, except when it turns into spam.  Personally, I pay a lot more attention to the stuff I like than the stuff I dislike.

Where did it all go so wrong?
